On another note, I just recently had a real costly experience with a paid vendor on LS1tech. That is not where I found them, but in the end I’m out over $2k and they deny any liability. This is after I had a third party inspect the work.

I had a similar experience with a vendor on here. What I thought I was getting and what I got was 2 totally different thing. I expected a cam'd car that would produce the muscle car growl while maintaining drivability. What I got was a 40 k paper weight.

Eventually I had a shop fix my car so it would run correctly, I ended up replacing the cam and having it re-tuned. Expensive lesson for me, and now I have junk I can't get rid of in the form of a cam and a SCT Tuner.

I completely understand your frustration. It just really amazes me that some of these people don't get throttled becuase of their business principles.

very well put people need to be informed when stuff like this happens so that they do not fall victim to the same thing

I have a Appointment with ADM for November 6th... My Car was tuned by a local shop here in OKC and it is way off the Mark... I just had a Maggie installed and he was only able to get 390 RWHP.. That is only a 60 RWHP gain for $7000.. WTF !!!

I am going to drive 3 hours to get to ADM and I am sure they will get it all corrected and get me closer to 450 RWHP like Magnuson states it should be.. Even without headers.....

Who did you go to in OKC. I know of only one shop who works on Camaro's and was leery of having him install anything after visiting the shop.

I hate to give out the name of the shop at this point... As of tonight I have e-mailed him requesting my $300 back.... Depending on his response, I will let you guys all know...

He better do the right thing, if he wants to have a decent rep in OKC.

Who ever it is....it's probably worth the drive to come down to ADM in Lewisville and get it done right the first time.

Speed Racer - You found the problem with using a dealer to do this install. Did you ask how many Maggies they have installed and how successful were they and did you get owners recomendation?? Like geting an invasive medical procedure you would do your due dilligence first. At least you realize where you should have gone for your Maggie install. I think it is comendable for ADM to take you in, especially as you did not buy from him in the first place. Inheriting someone else's botched work can be risky too. Did you ask bout having a Maggie installed awhile back on this forum? If you had you would have heard rave reviews about ADM and none bout using an OKC dealer. Just my 2 cents. You are one of many and thanks for maning up to your problem as your experience will help many other forum members.

The dealer that installed it has done many superchargers.. I know the Chevy dealership owner and they do superchargers all the time onCamaro's Corvette's, etc... They also sell and work on the SLP Supercharged Camaros..... The car ran great after the dealer gave it to me with the stock maggie tune... It was when I went to the Local race tuner here in okc that things went wrong( In My Opinion). I hope I'm not wishing for more RWHP that is not even possible...

Maybe my local tuner did do it right? I'm just not sure since all I am getting is 390 RWHP.... My thoughts are that a $6000 Supercharger should have gained me alot more than 60 RWHP.......

I don't think their is anything wrong with the install or the supercharger.. It just needs a Tuner that knows how to get all the HP out of her......

Thanks for the update, at least they got the blower on the car correctly if they have done others. So, you are off the hook for due dilligence. Sorry this had to happen to you and I am sure you will reap some benefits from ADM. Stuff happens. Good Luck.

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all your help.. I can't wait to meet Andy next Saturday and get this car back to where is should be.. I am having withdraws from STOMPING on Her.. This car is not meant to be driving around like a Grandma on Sunday..LOL

I took the car to get it cleaned up before Andy works on her next weekend, and BAM the damn check engine light came on.. It is telling me that bank # 2 is running Lean... I am hoping that it is just because I cut out the rear CAT's before I went to ADM...Waiting these last two weeks to get to ADM has been killing me.. This I my daily driver..

All I know is that, when I leave Andy's shop Next Saturday..... I am going to light up the tires and see what this Supercharger can do....

After many E-mails to the OKC tuner, and after even offering to pay for some of his time and asking for just a partial refund... He has stop responding...

I guess He figure business will just go on like normal...Surprise!!!!!!! Not when you have mad unhappy customers...I try to never bad mouth people, but I have lots of fellow Camaro Owners from around here and other members of OKCCAMAROs.COM and I would hate for anyone else to get bad Customer service or bad Service in general...

The name of the shop is XP RACING in OKC..... Just be Be careful

Oh yeah.....I shaved off .5 in the 1/8th mile right off the bat after leaving your shop. I think I can get another .2 or more because, without going into a long story, I got flustered on the line and was never able to get my RPMs up. Went from having a hard time getting out of the 9s to an easy 8.5-8.6 runs. I think 8.3 or so is doable if I can get a good launch.

The wife wanted to drive it that night so I only got a couple runs in. She did good for the first time in the car. She cut a smoking good light for her first time out in about 10 yrs (I think it was a .1200 range). I think a few people were surprised that my 5'4" buck of five wife can race a manual car right along with everyone else.

Now I'm having to start rebuilding the mod fund so I can do a Cam or Gears in the next year or so.
