V2 does have the deeper tone, i just like V1 because it is louder also has sound at idle, unlike V2.. from what i have heard.. Also, someone here to deal with the in cabin sound they bought $10 of sound deadner and placed in the trunk under the carpet. Killed about 40% of the sound.

I would go with Version 1 for the idle:
"Compared to the Version 1.0, the Version 2.0 sounds smoother, deeper and slightly quieter at idle. The Version 1.0, meanwhile, is louder and more aggressive at idle with more crackle in the exhaust note. At high RPMs, the two exhaust systems sound similar." http://site.mrt-direct.com/blog/2010..._2010camarov6/

its all preference.. you like V1 then go with V1... think about it, if everyone else has V2, then yours is more rare

I'm still on the fence myself... I really wish I could drive or actually ride in cars that each have a version and was hoping to do the upgrade before the fest. I have heard a V2 in person, but it had headers on it too... and I only heard it rev, not actually drive which is a totally different sound. I want to know how much louder the V1 actually is...

The V2 was about the same as I expected from the videos... a little higher pitched then I liked when it reved higher, but the engine wasn't under load. I think I might like a louder idle though. I'm just worried how loud the V1 would be crusing. I need to roll up the windows and close the sunroof or the voice recognition has a hard time understanding me as it is now from wind noise. Does anyone have the same problem caused by exhaust noise from the V1? Do I have any reason to worry about that?
I actually think the cherry bombs have a nice low tone in the videos too... I'm considering them as another option.

once i get my camaro im going to get mrt v1. i went through the entire process of deciding which one i liked better a while ago and this one came out on top for me. its louder at idle, (form what they say), which i want and it louder when cruising, which i also want. so its a win win for me. i hope u listened to the vids with ur headphones on cuz it sounds way cooler like that. i had my brother and my dad listen to the clips as well. my bro liked v1 and my dad liked v2. my gut feeling was v1, so i decided on that.
