The way I look at it, while I waited for the 2011, the folks with the 2010's have been having a blast for a year. Get what you can when you can and enjoy it.

If we live till next year, we can always upgrade to something better.

The v6 chally will still be slower, weighs too much and seems like they stuck with their garbage tranny.

And besides, who really cares about a HP here or a HP there... It's a simple numbers marketing game.... They are all nice cars with more HP than the normal driver will or should ever need...
thats right, the camaro was the man in for 2010 pony cars, ya its not like they can just produce a new engine in 2011 or 2012 when the car just came out a year ago.. but they will be on top again

... i still think the challenger is a fail because of the price...

when does it all end? the average joe can only trade up so many times and have a payment so high...Ive done it three times in 4 years and got lucky each time by getting out clean on each trade...well, maybe their targets are the deep pocket people...I hope to trade up to a Z but am afraid the payment is going to be out of my league...

LOL ... Don't agree to something you know nothing about ... Ford and Dodge can't touch the Camaro the first year it's released. Reason being prior to that it was just a concept. They would get into industrial issues making moves before a public release. Now that the Camaro has been released, it's game on. Also Chevy doesn't have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to the engine, just tweek it a bit and that doesn't take years to do.

When I was a millwright in Detroit in the 70's we use to build tooling and machines years out before the cars were produced. So yes after the cars are released the other guys know exactly what your doing ...

Pony car battles will be won and lost year to year... the gauntlet will pass back and forth with the only winner being the driver. This is all great for the auto enthusiast. I'm so pumped that the Pony car war is back!!

i said the camaro was the man the first year... and i will make a bet that you wont be seeing the 6.2L naturally aspirated engine in the next time there a is big camaro update... i heard it will be a 5.5L... think about in 5 years how much more fuel efficient the cars will have to be... the goal is to make a engine that has more power then the 6.2L but using less gas..

I could care less what the competition offers in #s. I drove the big 3 muscle cars and then some and decided on what I liked best - not what was the fastest. there will always be a faster car out there.

Hey now, it will be slower but the 545rfe is a really good bullet proof tranny.

Chevy has no class competitor to the SRT8 at this point, everyone needs to remember that a SS=GT=RT and Z/28 (when it comes out) = GT500 = SRT8. We need to stop comparing the SS to the GT500 and SRT8, it's not the same.

Lot's of supposition here.

What I find really interesting in the Dodge literature is the fact that they mention the "Multiple Displacement System" for both V-8's. Which in that brochure seems to indicate both the 5.7L and 6.4L Hemis.

It goes on to state it runs on 4 cylinders at cruising speeds. Perhaps they are targeting the Gas Guzzler tax here?

The Challenger needs to go on a diet to compete with either the Camaro or Mustang first.
