I waited 10 months from 8/25/2008 to 6/25 2009, I wished it had been 4 or 5 weeks.....

I ordered my 2010 SS the first day you could order one in October 2008 and took delivery of #6886 on June 5th 2009.It seemed like it took forever.I spent most of my time reading everything I could read about the Camaro. My wife thought when I got my car I would get off of camaro5.com and stop looking at camaro stuff. It hasn't happen yet.It will be here before you know it.

Ordered my 2011 2LT, Summit White, beige leather interior, 19" polished rims, May 18. Took delivery Aug. 10, only about 4 days later than promised and I consider that excellent.
During the 2 months, 3 weeks I waited, I spent time reading Camaro5 and therefore had some additonal insight on this car before it was delivered.
At times during the wait I did rant to my dealer contact, all my rants were responded fast and professional. I later appolized.
Been buying new cars since 1970, however this has been the best dealership experience (Myers Chevy Cadiallic on Baseline, Ottawa Ontario). Until the day I picked up my 2011 Camaro I did not know this dealership serviced older Buicks. A few weeks ago took my 1998 Riviera to have a remote trunk lid switch serviced. In and out in a day for under $120. Very happy.
Below are first day pictures of my 2011 (of course I have made a few body modiciations in the last few weeks):

Downloaded the owners manual and tried to understand how everything worked and all the features. Gave up after reading the second time and just thought about other stuff! But it was hard!

Had to wait 3 months just to order the SGM, than the plant shut for 2 weeks the next day. Like everyone else spent a lot of time on this site getting my fix. And your right it is like being a kid again waiting for Xmas. And yes! once you get YOUR car it was all worth the wait

I feel your pain. The dealer order was placed 08/24/2010 and the tracking still indicates "Order Placed"; not even in production yet! Now I understand the plant has been shot down for two weeks so, hopefully, tomorrow they are back up and running!

I had to wait 40 days from ordering to picking up, not too painful.

Ordered my 2010 and was told I would have to wait 7 - 9 weeks. That was back in july 09. After 3 weeks of waiting I got an opportunity to buy one that was won by a women that couldn't see over the dash board ??? Debated with myself 5 min. and bought it ! Best decision I even made !
I got the Camaro for 3K under invoice, she got her honda Civic SSI.
