Ok, here's the update: I got my Camaro back today...she's running great! That's the good news, but there are a couple of pieces of bad news that will work themselves out in the next week or two...

First, my Roto-Fab radiator cover was scratched during the repair work, so they are re-painting it for me...under warranty...and I should have that back in a few days. Anybody know where I get my hands on another silver or white Roto-Fab sticker?

Second, there is now a 3-inch crack in my windshield..they are ordering me a new windshield too, so that will also take a few days...

My salesman, Dan Greene (he's the best!), has been staying in close contact with the service department and keeping tabs on how things were coming along with my car. Because I had gone without my car for three weeks, he is working on getting me some free car wash passes at Texas Shine. Although I won't drive my car through a car wash unless it's touchless, I may use them for my other cars--but I appreciate the sentiment...they are really taking good care of me at Gunn.

Anyway...I washed the car today and cleaned her up pretty well, but I may have to do a clay bar treatment soon. I noticed a bunch of water spots in the finish because the car broke down on a rainy day and I took it straight to the service department while the exterior was still very dirty from the rain. Since I wasn't able to clean her while she was being fixed, the stuff dried onto the paint and it will take some extra work to get the finish looking great again...but she still looks awesome and I had a blast driving today for an hour or so!

My Red Jewel is back!

Thanks for your congrats, everyone!

Stay clear away from texas shine imo...

I didnt know theyd scrub down my whole truck with the brush, needless to say ill have a few days of work ahead of me to correct what they did. :(

the one I go to which is pretty good, cheaper and better is 5 dollar wash on blanco and bitters... Ive known those guys in there for at least 7 years now.

Yeah I would never go to Texas Shine with ANY vehicle of mine after my last trip there, main reason being the brush that they scrub your car down with... I guess it depends on the attendant but when we brought my husband's car there and the guy who used the brush dragged the handle of the brush across the top of the car leaving a nice long scratch!! can't say I'll ever go there again! but that's just me...

See everybody at TGI Fridays tonight. I will have more information about our car show and a sign up list for helpers the day of the show. Also need to talk to everyone about an additional meet up place that may turn out to be a really cool location. This restruant has a patio with live music every weekend. 10% off food for the car people. The back parking will be reserved for hotrods of all kinds and the front parking is for regular customers. 26 parking slots plus a very long curb on the outside would allow even more. No burnouts though. Who knows, maybe we can convoy over to this location tonight after visiting at TGI's and take a look.

Coupon for $5 off at TGI's.

See you tonight!

That's where I first met Darrell, was at that car show which then means I'm coming up on the year mark of owning my Camaro!

Already registered.

I've had this on our club calendar for about 4 months.
