If my car is being pushed till next year I will be driving a Challenger R/T by the summer... F that. I put $1000 down last June at one of the top selling GM dealers in NY....

No wonder GM is tanking, they can't even get this right.

I'm 7/9 at my dealer... if somehow my order is pushed to next year... I dont know what I will do, but it won't be waiting for a Camaro. This is a want, not a need.

Okay I understand that, but I dont understand the pre-orders where BS? So will I get my preorder, I'm #3 of 6 at my dealer, so that 1st V6 is it gonna be one of someones orders or what? The delay is terribe news for me, I may have to look for something else but I'ma try to stick it out

I came out CONFIDENT we are better now than before, EVEN WITH the delay. I was impressed how they discussed the matter. I am confident all sold cars (within allocated guide number, and even beyond) will be done by Oct 2009. This was just more of a SOLID promise of what they've been saying all along.

NO ONE should have got an impression they would get a car by a certain time - that was never promised.

OK I gotta vent for a moment... at least until we get more information about this....

Considering all the GM market and financial woes, you'd think GM would be redy to make a good name for themselves, and make some cash...

Now, I understand that I am no GM insider and probably have little to no idea about what the launch of a highly anticipated car involves, but 10,000 people have ordered Camaros. Lets assume that on average these cars cost 30,000 bucks. Do the math. thats what...300,000,000 dollars? And a large enthusiast base that is dissappointed.

They let us order the cars, and now we hear that they may not be able to build what we want? Thats almost ludacris. You have 10,000 orders GM. You built the press and the hype, now you need to build the car.

I am a Camaro and GM enthuisast and I WILL wait for the car. I am number 4 of an allotment of 5, all SS models. If I can not get my SS before October, I will be cancelling my order and reordering in Feb of 2010. Im not buying a 35,000 dollar car and putting it in a garage for 3 months.

OK, keeping the faith, rant is over!

Good for you, if I wanted a V6 I would get a Camaro. The V6 are apparently being pushed up too, so it sucks for the SS orders but don't be jumping on the V6s!

If i get backed up past june or so im canceling and going with a used zo6 1 out of 3 all SS on order there.

I want to be sure that we are reading this post correctly. Are you saying the all orders, SS or otherwise, made with a dealer that has an allocated car will be delivered by Oct 2009?
