IMO pre-ordering didn't really do squat. Sorry to be negative, but it sounds as if they will be making the cars we want last. Doing a consensus of allocations every month, and forcing V6 down our throats. PISSED is an understament, time to call some customers and get bitched at.

All valid points. Here's the problem, these "pre-orders" mean NOTHING other than marketing data. They admitted in the IDL they thought it would be 50/50 and it was 80/20 V8. GM has said from day one that the V6 would be the bulk of production. They have not deviated from their position, we just all hoped it would be different.

I don't think GM Should have ever offered pre ordering ... Again . .I can't believe they would expect 50/50 (v6/v8) in preorders ... the people that preorder would be enthusists that will order an SS version.

To be focused on V6 sales right out of the gate shows where GM's Head is .. Preorders should have been just that ... build all of your preorders first and get them driven on the streets instead of having a chance of them sitting in the lots ..

That part does'nt bother me. I am troubled however at how long we are going to have to wait for our SS cars. I don't like the sound of that at all.

(I gave up and got a GT500) 5/11/09 - order cancelled 5/27/09 - vehicle arrived at dealership for whoever bought it after me
