Just could not do it...

My wife comes to me and asks if I would be willing to drive me sis-in law and her new born to a doctors appointment in the morning and I say sure. Afterwords I start to think about the baby seat in the back, the bottle and what ever other nastiness that could happen to my back seat. So now I will be getting up early to drive my wife to work in her Caliber and taking sis to the doctors in her car. I just could not risk anything with a car with less than 600 miles on it. Am I being over protective or what?

Kids are ruin machines... especially other peoples kids. I'm pretty sure that leather would clean right up though.

I used to install car stereos and once I had to run cable under this guys back seat and found about 10 pounds of old french fries. I know the damage they can do.

Lol. True, but maybe his chevy is his bentley? I wouldn't do it. 40 years from now if he continues to take care of his car the way he does now it will be worth more money without the milkstain in the carpet and the scratches all over the backseat from the kid kicking the seat. They're kids, they don't know any better. But maybe I'm too anal too but I'm with the OP.

It's just a car hell I have two car seats in the back of my Camaro (put towels down under the car seats to protect the leather) my kids are in the car 50 miles to work and 50 miles back no big deal like Slingshot said it's a Chevy not a Bentley then again if I had a Bentley I would still put kinds in the back again it's a car I know we all love our Camaros but get real.

To some people it's more than a car. When I get my Camaro, I will park it on a pedestal. Hababhahaha

Sorry but kids wreak HAVOC on car interiors, especially other peoples kids. I am usually a proponent of "its just a car" but I would be iffy about taking other peoples kids in my Yugo, let alone my Camaro.

BACK SEATS DON'T HAVE LEATHER. Nothing easier to clean than vinyl and hard plastic.

Be nice and help people out. They will return the favor one day.

nope- my kids won't fit in the back seat- so if we go anywhere as a fam- we take the acadia. Honestly- there is no way id put a car seat in the back of mine. I'm also a bit twisted though. Your car- your decision!

You did that right thing, don't feel guilty. Better to be safe than sorry. Kids belong in mini vans or trucks.
