This may be a stupid question, but nobody's really mentioned anything about the antenna for this car.

I know the concept doesn't have an antenna on it, but does that mean that the production model won't as well? I know a lot of newer cars have just a little bump on the rear window that acts as the antenna, but I haven't seen anything like that in the pics I've seen of the concept.

Is the antenna completely internal or have we just not seen what it will look like yet?

I figured since there wasn't a real "working" radio in the concept, they just didn't feel the need for an antenna

But good question, I wonder what they will do about the antenna?

Any speculation?

Well, I for one am tired of getting such poor reception on my radio when I go out to the country, or through a tunnel/parking garage. I think they should put on one of those big 5 foot CB antennas.

Wow, no. I'm totally kidding.

I'd like to see an automatic retractable antenna. One of those that is completely hidden from view until you turn on the radio, then it slowly extends. I don't like the antenna look at all, be it a short antenna on the roof, a long antenna on the hood, or even those little plastic things on the rear window. However, I would like the option of listening to my local stations when I so choose.

I personally love the antennas that are incorporated into the rear windshield. Of course this is not possible on a 'vert, but should be on the coupe.

I am not a fan of retractables, though I do enjoy the antenna-less look when the radio is not being used.

I was also going to say I liked the antenna in the window. I had one in my 77 Chevy Caprice Classic...so they are no new deal. Maybe they could add it into the front window around the sides...wouldn't be seen...no probs.

I don't want a retractable one either....those things always break, and they aren't exactly cheap to replace either.

Antenna in the windshield (or rear window...which they can do if the rear window in the vert is glass...they do a defroster back there, so antenna is easy) would be fine. I don't really understand why they can't just make the entire roof (or any other body panel) the antenna, but, whatever it takes to make it as hidden as possible.

Same for the gas cap....hide it.

The only thing that I want added that I don't want hidden is.....(yeah, most of you guessed what I'm going to say already).....

T-TOPS !!!!!!

Give this beast the t-tops it deserves and you can put a chrome gas cap and a 5ft antenna on it....I can easily correct those things.

Look at the newer Cell phones. Do they even have a 'bump' any more? Nope. Antennas are completely internal now. My cell phone retailer told me on my latest phone that I had to hold it a special way - so I don't weaken the signal by covering the antenna. And now that I've come to think about it...I haven't seen a new car that has an antenna, or a bump...

I know my '79 has it incorporated into the front windshield. it looks like a T-shaped defroster wire that covers the entire windshield.

But I'd put my money on no antenna, no bump.

Yes, an internal antenna would be great! Also, some nice padding on the door panel where elbows rest would be nice.

And I definitely want backlit power window/door lock buttons, as well as backlit cruise/radio control buttons on the steering wheel.

And no chrome around the exhaust pipes! I know I said it before, but oh well.

Yeah, there's a lot of different ways of doing the antenna. When I was talking about the ones on the rear window, I meant the antennas that look like dorsal fins. I think those would be really ugly on a muscle car. However else they want to do it is fine, as long as it's discreet and functional.

I just thought it was interesting that no one else, as far as my searches could turn up, had ever brought up that issue.

My car is an '07 and it has the mini antenna sticking up out of the middle of the roof, right above the rear window. However, it is a Corolla CE, so it's not really geared towards looks. The mini antenna seems to be what I see on most sedans, but maybe you're right about them starting to disappear on other cars.

I'd like to have as few lights as possible in the interior. Just light up what I need, and leave the rest dark. A nice dome light would be good for those times when you need to find/read something in the dark, but that's it.

I know there's been talk previously of those one touch window controls. I think that's definitely a must, but I'd like to take it even further. My current car has that feature, but only for rolling the drivers window down. It would be so much nicer if it worked for all windows both up and down. The whole point is so you can keep your hands on the wheel and your focus on the road, but focus is just as important when you're rolling the window up.

I agree. I don't like the soft chrome look on the coupe's exhaust. The 'Vert's exhaust looks so much better. If they're going to do chrome, do both cars like the 'Vert.

The exhaust is exactlyt the same to me. I haven't seen the coupe in person yet but the chrome piece is just an insert. The actual muffler tip is the same that's on the mule in the spyshots.

Well, I don't think that the the black lumps on the car would be good... There was a chic at work that showed up with a convert Mustang acting all big and bad... I laughed my rear off when I asked what the black bubble was on her trunk... The antenna she said... It looked so bad....

Doesn't Honda put the antenna in the windshield? That would be really good.
