just a small update.

So last night i was with my friend at the Honda dealership as she bought a new 2010 CRV that also has a usb plug and iphone support. So i couldn't wait to plug my new iphone4 in and see if it had any of the issues we and others are having.

It worked flawlessly!! not one single issue, no message popups about anything. Needless to say i was not happy when i got back into my camaro, although stepping on the gas did make me feel better

so... what is honda doing that GM isnt?

I've been an iPhone user from the biggining. I've had all of them. It was the best phone for my business needs. Mainly the 'MobileMe' sync server.

I won't be getting this one.

Sounds like the iPhone 4 is a major fail from every standpoint now. But look how shiny and cool it is! :eyeroll:

Other than how it works when I plug it into my camaro, the phone great! And I'm still not 100% certain that this is even apples fault.

I read on a Mercedes forum while running a search for this same issue, that they are having the exact same issues. And thisis with people that have a 3Gs running OS4 and new iPhone 4 users both in the UK and in the states...IMO this is Apple's fault. For me at least, (I have a 3Gs) everything was fine until the OS4 update. Hopefully by the time my phone ships, the bugs will be fixed...

None of my iPhones have ever worked in my Camaro. I went out. Bought a Nano. Loaded it up, left it in car, problem solved. Move on. It's not the phone, it's GM's craptastic electronics. I've had other accessories (speakers, docks) that stopped working when new generations of iPhones or iPods. Don't blame the phone. It's GM who doesn't understand that if they start installing technology in their cars they need to have continuous patches and firmware updates that can keep up with the speed of light technology world. My friend has. 2009 Volkswagen CC. iPhone 4 would not work with his setup. The next day he downloaded a patch, put it on a thumb drive and applied the patch himself. GM needs to get with program or not install it at all. It's just pissing people off!!

Why? Because you're not eligible for a upgrade yet? Don't listen to the media B.S. this is by far the best one yet. You're missing out if you don't upgrade PQ!

Not that I like anyone's misfortune but it's comforting to see I'm not the only person with this issue. I got the higher end iPhone 4 and decided I was finally going to use it as an iPod (Previously on an iPhone 3G 8GB). The static was so loud the first time this happened that it actually hurt my ears... Hopefully GM/Apple will come out with a patch in the near future that will make this usable otherwise I'll just have to start throwing songs on a USB stick again :(

at the risk of sounding real dumb....has anyone tried the iphone 4 (os4.1) into the aux input instead of the USB?
