Just for clarification is the Borla S type and the Borla S type (stinger) the same thing.? Very confusing looking at some vendor sites.

Yes the borla S type is the same as the stingers. I liked when they used to call them stingers but eh, whats in a name right? Anyways the install was a breeze. Socket wrench, wd-40, sawzall, and a marker to mark where to cut. Had the old trashcans off in about 20 and the new ones on with the tips aligned in 10. Very easy install for anyone who knows how to turn a wrench.

As for the sound... well some people like raspy V8's. I prefer a deep, muscular sound, and this is exactly what I got with the S-types. Still can't wait to hear em with headers!

Hardest part is pulling the triggeer on the sawzall. "Do I REALLY want to cut this?" Measure a few times, mark it and go. Have a cold one. WD-40. Wrestle the hangers out and mount up the new ones. Have a cold one. Drop the car. Have a cold one. Start it up and enjoy. Have a cold one. Now this is important. Depending on your choice of 'cold one', do not drive.

30 min for someone who knows their way around an exhaust and doesn't suck at DIY stuff. For me it would have been around 60 minutes being afraid to cut sh--..I suck at it so I took it to an exhaust guy in my area and he knocked it out in about 20-30 depending on how busy they are...

I still have mine for some silly reason, just like the original air intake.

Yea, just left it in my garage...not really sure what I want to do with them...if you don't have a garage it will be hard not to trash them or maybe you can make some money at a recycle center? They are quite bulky and heavy

I kept mine and had my exhaust guy weld a sleeve on them. When I feel the need to quiet my car down or maybe if I add L/Ts and it is a bit too loud just slip the stock ones on. 20 mins.

Just picked up my car a little while ago. Love the sound.

Didn't keep the original mufflers. Garage was going to get rid of them for me. Not going back to them and don't have anywhere to store them anyway.
