Now, I put my OEM back on, then added headers and an x pipe and its still too quiet. I am going with the Flowmaster. I love the deep sound it offers.

As for the two videos posted. The orance car has LOTS of mods. Cammed Camaros with headers and exhaust do sound AMAZING but thats a lot of bank. Your looking at $4000-$6000 or more once all said and done with the tune and everything.

The white car sounds like ass. Sorry.
Obviously it all comes down to what you like. The FMAT is too calm for my taste. Deep sound for sure, but I want something that sounds a little more rowdy. And youtube vids def don't compare to real life. The white car, it sounds badass.

I am sure it is, the new 5.0 sounds really good. I have heard a few. Mustangs have always sounded good. And IMO stock for stock, the 4th gen sounds way better than the 5th.

I know what you mean, all the FMAT cars I have heard have LTs and either no or hi flo cats. Its def. rowdy then and since I have LTs and (ahem) hi flo cats, mine will be rowdy. It is kinda rowdy now but only whne you really jump on it with the factory cat back and LTs.

Now, to get that you have to get the $700 exhaust BUT add the $1200 LTs and cats... gets pricey.

and third, never trust an internet video. you dont know hat kind of speakers I have...

No doubt about that... and this one sounds even better

I'm not sure what your comment has to do with pride.
You still have to look at something hanging from the back of your car. The rest of us spent money making it go fast.
Wow, you are pretty ignorant.

I didn't "waste" money on an exhaust. Wasting money would be doing something such as :

-Doing a muffler delete on your car
- Realizing that the muffler delete is raspy upon different throttle applications
- Realizing that there is an unwanted drone because the Youtube video that you watched of the muffler delete didnt show the drone
- Realizing that you went the "cheap" route to save a few hundred dollars, even though you just spent 35,000$ on the car itself

After seeing a lot of muffler delete threads, and people crying about it being too loud, having too much drone, or not sounding good, it would lead me to believe that the muffler delete is the "Waste of money" you are rambling about. What's the ratio of people changing their muffler delete out for a real exhaust system, as opposed to someone swapping their SLP, Magnaflow, Borla or Flowmaster out for a MUFFLER DELETE?? LMAO

I highly doubt your car is any faster than 90% of this forums 2SS 5th Generation Camaro's. If you would like to prove me wrong, feel free to post your modifications, track time, and dyno sheet since your car with the Mighty "muffler delete" is God owned.

*sigh*...what a joke.

Wow!

OK.

Ive been into the motor on my 2011 when it had 200 miles on the clock. Spent quite a bit of time on the dyno. Have turbos waiting for install next month.

Built several C6 vettes with every exhaust you mentioned plus some.

You want to hear drone, try some Borlas on a C6.

I have another block in the waiting. I think it is safe to say that I'm in the top 2 percentile of 5th gen owners. I really don't give two shits what you think though. Have a nice day!

Now I've held my tongue so far. It's not what you're saying that's buggin me here.. It's that you're saying it down your nose like you're better than anyone that chooses a muffler delete. I've heard the muffler delete, and I like the way it sounds. In the end it comes down to preference. Don't belittle others over their preference. Definitely no need to be condescending.

Neither of you come out till you know how to play.

I do have to side with LS3 SS, and disagre with Huck. Its cheap and adds ZERO at the dyno.

LOL @ people thinking im "sticking my nose up" at others for having a muffler delete on their car.

If you want to do something like that, GO FOR IT, its YOUR CAR.

Just like if you want to shop on Ebay for parts for your car, thats YOUR DECISION.

But when someone shows blatent ignorance and acts like the muffler delete is the best solution to an "american muscle sound" for our cars, then there will be a correction.

CORRECTION : The muffler delete is the best sounding ALTERNATIVE to riding around with a stock quiet exhaust.
