You can lock your doors with the window down. But you have to open and close the door for it to work. At least that is how it works on mine.

Edit: it seems that perhaps my door may not be closing properly or the car still thinks the door is open sometimes. Usually, with my windows down, when I try to lock the car, it just unlocks immediately. But if I open and close the door it will stay locked. Hmm. This never happens with the windows up????

Well there you go, you learn something new every day!

I just went out to my car and just 'slightly' tapped it, and lo and behold, three blinks! All this time, I had been tapping it slightly too hard and only getting one blink!

Good to know! Thanks!

The first pull unlocks the door. Then the second pull opens it.

Oh! I see you already found the answer

I sometimes see people complaining about the messages popping up on the DIC. If you just tap the enter/reset button on the end of the DIC control stalk the message will go away.

I rolled down the driver side window, drove my car into the garage, got out of the car with the engine idling to see if I was parked correctly. I got back in the car and turned it off.

I exited the car and closed the door and the dome light stayed on.
I waited several minutes and it still was on.
Pressing the lock button caused the door to unlock itself as if the door was still open.

I got back in the car to turn it on to the AUX position and then turned it off. The dome light went off after 30 seconds with the theater dimming. It seems that the car had to be reset for the dome light to go off. It could be that the windows being down confuses the car into thinking that the doors are still open until the car is reset.

Any of the stalk controls will do this, too.

Smile Tire Pressure Monitors

Tires were showing 32 all around yesterday....filled them up to 35...got in the car and went to the field showing what the tire pressure should be and accidently hit the clear/reset button...msg came up "Do you want the system to relearn??" or something like that....I hit the button and the system recalculated the new pressure in the tires......neat

Here's one I don't think was covered:

When navigating between the Vehicle Information and Trip/Fuel menus in the DIC, press the MENU button once to change, then press again to immediately go to that menu. Small pet peeve for me when I had to wait the couple seconds for "Vehicle Information" or "Trip/Fuel" display to go away.

if you have the cruise set on a 2011 SS M6 and you push in the clutch, it disengauges the cruise control.

Make sure you look for and find the seat back release lever in the daylight. I only needed to put something in the back seat during night time hours the first couple of days and gave up and put it in the front floorboard.
