Personally, I'd NEVER buy any truck besides a Ford. My F150 I sold for my Camaro was a real workhorse. 165k miles the day it was sold. Not once did it need a rebuild or any serious warranty work.
Same goes for the Super Duties. My uncle's 7.3L F250 is well over 400k miles and is just breaking in. Though I hate to say the 6.0 and 6.4 don't seem to fulfill the tasks. Besides those motors though, Ford's new 6.7 seemed to be extremely promising before the 2011 Super Duty released and so far they've definitely proven themselves. Still, my dream truck would be a new F250 with a Cummins conversion. Best of both worlds. btw, please don't take any of the above as solid data, I'm only one person with one opinion. |

Who cares about whether a truck tows 10,000lbs max, or 10,300lbs. Ford's offerings make the GMs look like circa 1990 models, and have great interiors.

Comparing Silverado/Sierra vs F150... GM/Ford sales: 2001 - 926205/823681 2002 - 854961/813701 2003 - 880991/845586 2004 - 894524/939511 2005 - 935468/901463 2006 - 846805/796039 2007 - 826500/690589 2008 - 633609/515513 2009 - 428386/413625 Ford sold more trucks in only 1 year of the last 10. GM sold more trucks in 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, and soon to be 2010. GM sold nearly a half million more Think that's hard to swallow? Wait until you find out the F-body outsold the Mustang from 67-02! |

I'd still take the Ford truck over any other truck, despite sales. As I'm sure a lot of y'all would take a Chevy or Dodge over the competition. My dad had always only bought F150s so that's how I grew up, with my first vehicle being his last F150.

The best of all worlds would be a Cummins with an Allison trans in a Ford body. Make them like semi's, the manufacturer makes the body, you spec the drivetrain.

Thats is just false information. You are comparing All GMC/Chevy trucks to one Ford Model the F-150. I call You are diliberately using numbers to your liking. Where is your proof? I posted mine. I really don't care who sells more but actual numbers don't lie. I have no loyalty to any of them. None pay any of my bills so I buy what I like. I owned 6 Mustangs in the past and this is my first Camaro. No trash talking. I liked the car so I bought it. ANyway, if General Motors were outselling Ford, why would it even care to make a challenge to somone they were beating already? Thx for the info but it looks like its just your opinion not fact.
