Haven't seen a need for it on the street, but have heard of need and seen the oil consumption on cars doing road courses - including Ivan's nearly stock Camaro from Southwest Speed in Albuquerque. His stock PVC line to the intake broke off and sprayed oil all over the front of his engine. This was the time I met 2010 BadSS and RS for a club meet at Sandia Motorsports speedway and had Jim Guthrie for instruction. When doing high G nose stands on road courses and sudden turning, plus off angle acceleration seems to do it. Ivan was definitely pushing his limits as Darren and Diane well know - wrecked his car at an event later, but shrugged it off. Even with as little use I'll get out of it at the occasional Camaro members meet - seems like cheap insurance. Pedders mentioned there's filled up pretty quickly.... but they're the extreme example. I had found a stream of oil in my intake tube several months ago..... can't seem to find the picture, but was obvious oil. I'd be curious to see results of one installed in 600hp-lpe's car.

Hope we get to see your car (rocketship) at Cfest Paul!
Thanks for the feedback

There are so many decisions to be made, I kind of need some help. hypothetically if you had 20k maybe a little bit less. How would you use this at Lingenfelter?

Wheels and tires for more traction, suspension, and definetly 1/2 shafts.

I would first of all build a solid foundation as in a forged motor and supercharger. You should be able to get into a 650 package. Once you have this package then it's easy to add different things later like wheels and such.

Hi everyone, and welcome theinferno. I think I'd start with the 650 package also, then with time add your other mods.

Paul nice job at the LSX shootout. We really wanted to go watch, but with it being on a Sunday, didn't plan well enough to take off Monday.

600, congrats on your racing season. You did great, and it looks like you had a lot of fun as well.

Blue, that's a nice looking catch can. I might have to look at that to do over the winter as well. RS already got one but hasn't put it in yet. We are having a cars, coffee, chili, and speed next Sat the 23rd if you're in the area. Sorry you wont make SEMA, but we'll definitely see you at C5fest!

MWS SEMA will certainly be a much needed break from work for us too. We're looking forward to seeing you and Mrs MWS again as well as Speed, 600, and whoever else is coming.

Ravensjeff, it looks like your car is about a week a way! Can't wait to see some pictures and hear about the permagrin you're about to experience.

se7en, Bummer on the cats. Hope you're back on the road ASAP. It's cool that you got to experience the LSX shootout, and see Paul's and the LS9 car in person.

Well I got to chat with Kevin Jeffrey over at Lingenfelter today. He was very helpful, I think this is going to be a wonderful experience. I think what I'm going to have done is this:

LPE 600 Package
SS9 Hood W/ Clear Polycarbonate Window
MTI short throw shifter
ZR1 Twin Disc Clutch and Flywheel
Corsa Stainless Steel cat back exhaust (Think I like the Borla ATAK) dont know yet
Suspension; would like to lower the car a bit dont want any wheels over 21"
and a nice set of wheels.
what do you guys think???
