Um, me. I have never liked the look of them.

I mean, we're talking hypothetically if they were the same price, so if they were, I'd rather have the camaro. If not, then I'll take the vette, sell it, buy the Camaro and pocket the difference.

This is true.

And Vettes have never appealed to me either. Id take a Camaro SS, Mustang GT, or an R/T Challenger over a Vette any day and put some of the price difference into mods.

I like the older Vettes but dont care for the new ones. I'd love to have an old Stingray but that's my baby sisters dream car so I've never pursued it.

Look I don't know about anybody else with an 2LT, but I like my 2LT/RS it does for me what i need for right now.

First I want to be totally clear on this, the V8 cars will hold a better price. (they normally cost more)
Second, I know the V8 cars are faster than the V6's. And they respond well with mods.
Third, and this one is the more important to me than any of the above, I like my Camaro just they way it is. Someone bought a 2SS/RS Loaded to the show Saturday and I asked them how much did they payed for the're Camaro (was optioned same as mine just silver and black interior). They informed me they payed right at 43000, that's 7000 more that mine. Ok so all I'm saying is YES money played a big part in what I got, at the same time I did NOT want a 1SS (bottom of the Line V8 Camaro).
So if any of you want to give me a 2SS/RS Inferno Orange Metalic with Inferno Orange Interior/Ground Effects Package CONVERTABLE Bring it on.

Yeah, except for the old ones that are slower and have less horses than our V6's.

Really, the way things are going, the V8 will one day (soon) be obsolete.

I have the 2LT as well and I love it. And while we are making things clear and comparing stuff, take a look at the engine option table below for the 1967 Camaro. You'll notice that you have to go way down that list and get a 396ci big block in it before you get more horses than the 2011 Camaro V6. So why indeed should anyone settle for a V6? I think the numbers speak for themselves.

1967 Camaro Engines.
  • L26 - 230ci. L6 / 140HP 1BC
  • L22 - 250ci. L6 / 155HP 1BC
  • Z28 - 302ci. V8 / 290HP 2BC
  • LF7 - 327ci. V8 / 210HP 2BC
  • L30 - 327ci. V8 / 275HP 4BC
  • L48 - 350ci. V8 / 295HP 4BC
  • L35 - 396ci. V8 / 325HP 4BC
  • L34 - 396ci. V8 / 350HP 4BC
  • L78 - 396ci. V8 / 375HP 4BC
  • L89 - 396ci. V8 / 375HP 4BC Aluminum Heads

unless the RS adds that much i don't know if i your numbers are correct, perhaps pricing is different in CT??
2LT/RS with options is 30450 plus they paid a $4000 mark up. I got 1SS no options $30,945 and told them to sick there mark up. Plus got a discount through the dealer because of military.

Damn, touchy already Look up sarcasm in a dictionary and get back to me! Here's another lil shot for you... I don't race! I drive to work every day in my V6 and I don't get "raped" at the gas pump or have to leave it in the garage!

As to why I mod the V6... Ummm cause I had the money and the time and wanted to! And yet I still don't race or measure my e-peen with my number of cylinders! But as a redneck, I didn't care about the SS but when those boys said they were bringing out a Z28... Welll... I would be kicked out of the South if I didn't get one!

Please define slow..

The LLT in the vette body would be 3087# dry. At 312 hp thats a 13.29 1/4 mile.

I love threads like this because it shows the know matter what a man does for a living most of us still act like ten year olds when it comes to cars.

Compare a 2LT to a 2SS, not a 1SS. Apples and oranges and such.

I will take that bet I am old enough to have seen the original Camaros new. I rode and drove real muscle cars in the past. I did drive a 2SS, I don't do bottom of the barrel models While it has more power and is faster, Its not what I wanted! In a couple of years I trade my son for his car and he takes it over when I get a Z28, which I want!

Not really apples to oranges, more like granny smith to red delicious. Tastes slightly different but still apples.

BTW granny smith sooooooo much better than red delicious
