Helllppppp!!!!!! I need to find these Calipers for my Murdered out SS
I have Black on Black Murdered Out Camaro SS and I need few things to make my car more blacker so it can be invisible at night. I need need black Calipers. But after looking around I don't think there is such thing. I saw these ones at a website almost jumped out of my seat cause of excitement. But I found out they are zinc coating meaning after 10 miles of drive the become silver. http://www.************.com/grbrrokit220.html so where can I find truly black calipers?
thanks a million to who ever finds one ill be a in debt to you forever

if your looking for black calipers just paint the brembos or get them powder coated you posted a link for rotors and there is not any metal that will not shine (silver) when a pad applies friction to it.... so i say you're sol on that one but those rotors would be sick backdrop with the hub part always staying black

Black Calipers
Black MRT Caliper covers. For SS they are about $225 a set. Google MRT caliper covers.

Caliper or Rotor? You ask about calipers; those are easy enough to paint black.
Black Rotors - as per your link - would be more problematic; steel/iron can be given a black coating, but as you posted, it would rub off soon. I think only a 'Ceramic' Rotor could be colored through, but not a ferrous metal. |

Yeah.. he meant ROTORS. Calipers are easy. His link points to a set of rotors as well.

As has been stated before, you can easily paint or powder coat your CALIPERS (Those gunmetal grey things that the brake pads fit in and say BREMBO on them). It's impossible to have black ROTORS (big round shiny disks that the brake pads squeeze). You can paint or powder coat them as well but as soon as you apply the brakes, they will eat it off.

Ya im the biggest num nuts here I meant the Rotors instead of the calipers which I knew you could have them painted or power coat. My true question is for the rotor. can you have them painted or powder coated, or buy as is. But im guessing that's impossible because of friction.

i think what you want is carbon ceramic rotors, they are a dark greyish in color, but they are going to be quite expensive because they are a high performance item. i dont know what they look like after they have been used either.
