You have to lift the front of the car up and it takes a while to get all 16 plastic rivets off that are holding the rubber piece in place. The you have to put the bolts on for the splitter in place of where the rubber piece was held on. Then you have to drill holes in the bumper underneath to put on little cylinder shaped pieces that hold up the front. You have to get behind the lower grill with you finger to try and screw them on. If you do not have patience I would have it installed somewhere lol.

Yeah bro, I thought your car looked better with it on =D It's not the fact that it's 3M tape or not anymore.. splitters just shouldn't be taped on lol. I'm sick of decorative pieces that don't serve the right purpose =(

Hmm, what if you remove the bumper instead? Seems like lots of the "pain" is coming from not having accessable room to work with lol. If you think removing the bumper is better, i would do it that way. I can remove the bumper in 5 minutes flat. Including removing the tires. I've done it too many times, for my present splitter.

I am sure it would help, but the directions they gave did not say you had to remove the bumper.

Holy crap you guys. I just got an e-mail back from my local GM dealership. The Front Facsia, Lower Grille, and Upper grille costs like 700 dollars total O_O!!!

WHAT THE... LOL. I'm not even going to call the Paint shop for pricing, I bet it's another 200 bucks. As much as I would love to have an SS bumper, I don't think 1 grand is worth the money. I think I can get so many mods with 1 grand.

Do you guys know where i could get some cheaper places? I live in Canada, I suppose thats why it costs so much.

-EDIT- I just called the paintshop... $625 to get the bumper painted black. Man... my dreams are shattered =( Thanks again guys for everything

Have you looked at the splitter made by Street Scene? I think Summit Racing sells their line.

CALLAWAY!!

JAGAN 323:

Just a suggestion, check out the carbon fiber front splitter made by CALLAWAY.

You can see pictures an some forum members comments at :

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...light=Callaway

Or, you can go straight to the CALLAWAY webpage :

http://www.callawaycars.com/las/Call...Literature.htm

I intend to buy their aero kit in carbon fiber but will not install it just yet... I intend to tuck it away at my warehouse deposit and install it to freshen up the exterior of the car a couple of years down the road when the excitement and the "newness" of the design begins to get dated.

Since this is an expensive aero package I do not want it to age right away with the car, hence my plan to defer the installation for a later time, but this is the definite spliter set and spoiler that I wil like to add to my CAMARO.

Best of luck!!!

i would just get a better splitter made for the v6 putting the V8 bumper on the V6 just for a splitter sounds retarded and its so un cool. Like throwing a supercharged badge on a stock car just dont do it

Nah, there is no better splitter for the V6, as I have said in the first post, the market is just not there for people to come up with true wind splitters.

And no, the bumper isn't like a supercharged badge.

Yes it is most people judge the ss by the front end becasue from a distance the rs looks like ss so thats the main difrence and makeing it look like it gained 2 cyclinders is worse than acting like its superchargerd but if you truly want a splitter that bad theres noone stopping u

I chose the SS front fascia because cosmetically it looks sharper, more aggressive, wider, and lower to the ground. I love the mail slot, and the thicker bottom grille. Let's face it, the original concept was a (now) V6 front end, and some guys are even putting it on their SS's. It's Personal preference, make yours unique, do what you want Jagan.

It took about three hours with the help of my friends dad.
question I like the look of that splitter but does it do anything for the fast tight cornering and does it seem to hole the front of the car down durring high speeds
