I was at Harbor Freight and Salvage and this older guy walks in the store and I can hear him yelling like crazy. I thought he was going to tear the place apart. I walk from the back of the store to the front to see what all the fuss is about. He had just left the store and walked three feet out the front door to his brand spanking new, and I mean right off the lot that morning new, Dodge BumbleBee Truck and down the driver side of the entire truck was a 1/8" gouge in the paint. It was severe. I felt so bad for the guy I was ready to maim the bat rastard that did it! The battle of the haves and the have nots is growing. I am truly sorry for you both that have had your cars hammered like that. My friend Terry had his Gen5 CGM RS for less than a month and someone hit and ran from the scene after caving in the driver's rear quarter panel.

SPINELESS PRICKS!!! Time for my blood pressure medicine!

Secuity Camera's

Sometime ago there was a video on here that caught a guy keying both sides of a Hummer. The cameras were placed on the sides of the Hummer from the rear looking forward.
Does anyone have a idea of where to buy that type of set up?
I also remember someone putting a camera in the XM antenna.

It's sad to say this, but if your car getting keyed is the worst thing that happens to you, you my dear friend are lucky. My car has been through much more than that. I'm a teenage kid, and there are a lot of envious teenagers..... other wise known as d bags. My car has been keyed 3 times. The first day of school after I got it, some kids were throwing rocks at it. Somebody hit and ran outside my house. Never found out who that was. I was at Walmart and some teenagers took a shopping cart and stuck it in front of their truck and ran it into the side of my car and took off. How nobody saw this IDK. Walmarts cameras caught it all on tape. The cops have it on report and everything, but we all know that cops could care less about car vandalism unless they are forced to do something about it. And FINALLY, now I have a door ding on my passenger side door. Luckily, I bought 5 years of unlimited paintless dent repair when I bought my car. I paid $500 for it, but I've almost got my moneys worth after 2 times. It's sad really. Just the thought of somebody doing this stuff pisses me off. I enjoy looking at cars and adamiring them. I know that there are cars that I will never have, and I love to take time looking at them. Vandalism doesn't solve anything. It doesn't magically make you have that car. One time my girlfriend's sister was getting into the backseat of my car at Steak-n-Shake, and she opened the door and hit a beater next to me. It didn't damage my car, but it left a dent in the beater. I went inside and told the person that owned the car. She said that it was fine. It was her sons first car. She was worried that somebody had dented my car when I went back in lol. It shows that being honest pays off.

Best of luck with the repairs man. I'll post pics once mine is done, really hoping they can make it like this never happened...

200 seems pretty reasonable, hope they clean it all up perfectly. Kinda sucks that we have to worry about stuff like this. It's weird, I have yet to encounter anything like this in the 4th gen...

I wouldn't dream of parking my car at a high school. But then in high school I drove a beater so... Sux to hear about all that, sounds like your car has seem its share of vandalism. Any other options for getting yourself to school so you can leave the Camaro at home?

My door is pockmarked with scars. Most from after purchase.

The only place it's gone to have this happen?

...

Parking in the Tennis Members lot at the Golf Course (aka Work) to avoid crap falling on it (both figuratively and literally) and less stuff to clean up.

Needless to say some of the haves don't want the have nots to actually.. Have?

Now I've taken to just using it as a buffer when I mow that part of the lot (flinging grass, etc..) so I have an excuse to buff it in the driveway and STILL get comments on it, regardless of the lumps. People still stop and stare (and ask about it at the gas station too.. o_o)

I've priced it out; 300 to fix an already delaminating deck/spoiler and to properly blend/touch up everything. Every time it happens though, I keep telling myself (rather than flying off the handle).. "It can be fixed, Mike.. it can be fixed."

Never good to fly off the handle at the wrong place at the wrong time when it could land you at the wrong end of 'who gets the keys to baby..'

I think it's total BS that we have to worry about this kind of thing. I remember my friend use to park his 72 nova away from the other cars in the school parking lot and every morning before getting into the school. He'd have to disconnect the battery just to feel comfortable in school about his car outside in the lot. BS i tell ya... total BS. I haven't had my share of this crap yet, but this shit ever happens to me and i see the person who did it i'd repaint my car with his blood. ERRR!!!!

I went to my dealer today to have the rally stripes put on and while waiting I was talking to the receptionist and she said her Corvette was keyed and she parked her car a distance from the store when she came out it was keyed and next to it was a shitty looking 4x4 truck.

I hate to say I am happy I have a handicap tag, bigger spots and in front of stores.

wow that sucks man Im in HS myself but luckily the parking spot that I got assigned is right in front of the principals office so if anyone tries ****ing with my car they'd get caught. However my car got keyed for the first time last sunday when I was with my gf at olive garden. (if you haven't seen my post about that yet.) Liek the OP its gone all the way down to the metal and its on my rear driver side quarter panel. I dropped the car off at the dealer last monday to get it re-shot and I own have it back till this weekend. I guess Im having some separation anxiety because Ive had a cold ever since I dropped her off.

If you take your fingernail across it perpendicular and it catches your nail then it cannot be buffed..... I'm guessing your screwedand will need to get your insurance involved.....might want to opt for a low deductible on your comp.
