Average price for a box, speakers and amp?

Just wondering how much the average price is on getting a nice set up with some good quality speakers and amp? Installed

Depends on your installer and quality of materials. If you are looking at doing a sub/amp only, and are fairly handy, contact ******** here on the forum. They'll be hard to beat, although you'll have to do the install.

I would not want to do the install, not sure on how to wire properly. I just want some good quality subs and amps. But not sure on the average price for i guess two 12in or 10in subs then I am not sure how to go about amps..

How much are you looking to spend?
A 'reasonably decent' 2 sub setup installed will probably cost you around $1200, but you can spend a LOT more (or less) depending on the goals for your system as well (e.g. do you care what it looks like, how loud do you want it, etc). Just an amp & a couple subs right? Not swapping out the current speakers?

Nope not really looking to upgrade the stock speakers. Just basically a simple two sub box and amps.. I would want it to look nice, not sloppy. I think you know what I mean, simple is fine.. and just a nice sound, loud.

You're going to get a lot of opinion on this but Alpine makes pretty good gear. A PDX-M6 amp + a couple Type R 12" or 10" subs in a sealed enclosure would sound really clean and get pretty loud. If you're comfortable spending more, you can get louder with a little better sound quality, but if you do that, I'd suggest upgrading the stock speakers too. Check out crutchfield.com for prices - your local installer should be able to get you a deal on that stuff for a little less and get you to around $1200 or so installed.

Don't get sticker stock on a custom built enclosure either... a quality box costs coin and is worth it. You'll probably want to invest in some sound deadening in the trunk too so rattles are at a minimum. Add a few hundred more for a quality custom box and dynamat installed.

BTW, if you really want to take your car's sound to the next level, look into getting JBL's MS-8.

It just came out but it's taking off... Check it out! A couple of the product managers hang out on DIYMA - here's a thread about it on there: http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...processor.html
