Even though the final product we came out with is top notch, our roll out of it was not. We learned some valuable lessons on that system, and we are going to take the steps to get better and better as we go, afterall that's what it is all about. We defintitely did not do it intentionally to piss anyone off, and we are sorry to those of you who got that feeling.

With that being said, we know there are a LOT of sweet V6 systems and cars out their, SO LETS SEE THEM!!!!! And some reviews please!!!

Thanks guys for your honesty and support!!
No problem for the honesty! I know it is the only way a company can improve is from feedback from current and potential/lossed customers. I appreciate the honest response from you (as the rep for the company) since other companies in the past haven't been honest at all.

Lol, I'm guessing he's regretting starting this thread now. I don't remember seeing any of these on the V6s, I'd like to see some pics too.

I agree - I don't remember seeing/hearing of anyone actually buying the V6 version. Well, except the one guy at the top of the thread. I'm curious to see how they look in the car....did JRE test the intake during that V6 test he did?

"I stand corrected - JRE did test the intake"

I believe they had the highest horsepower gain at top end.
Too late to the game for me. I'd already gone another route. I do appreciate their not rushing something to market and they may have wanted to have it done in a few weeks, it just didn't work out that way. I do agree they shouldn't take money until they have a product ready to ship but a lot of companies out there do. It sounds like they're learning and let's hope they do better.

well, it's never too late... if something comes along that performs better than you can always upgrade!

But yes, looking at the Jannetty spreadsheet the CAI Inc did to well... it did have the highest peak HP... 15 vs 14.4 for the Injen... I really have to call that a tie... However the Injen had a better overall HP gain with an avg of 17.5 vs the CAI Inc 13.2. The Injen also provided better torque numbers both average and peak...

All that being said, I do love the looks of the CAI Inc. and if I was going to go back to showing my car every weekend (like I used to...) I would seriously consider switching over to the CAI Inc... (Where did i put those stock washer bottle bolts? LOL)

Agreed> They make a great product most obviously. They make a short ram intake that gives almost as good results of our true cold air intake. I would definitely consider them in the future after that response.

I'll send you a couple of pics, but not until the weekend. I want to take them in the daylight.

Here's something folks may want to know:

After I installed the CAI Inc system, my fuel trims were reading +10-+15 on both banks most of the time. Remember, this is what Jannetty reported during their dyno tests on the thing.
I sent off a new data capture to Vince, and after looking at it he recommended a re-tune. He said the fuel trims were out of whack, and that the car was actually running too rich at WOT.
Now, bear in mind that I had a tune on the car before the installation. Not sure how this info translates to a bone stock car, but mine is not because I've got some exhaust mods on there too.

Well, based on the the Jannetty data looks like the same thing for a stock car... +14% Fuel Trim, which means the computer is adding more fuel based on the O2 sensors when the car is closed loop. Also look at the column "lbs per minute". You'll notice that the CAI Inc. appears to be flowing LESS air than stock. So those 2 things tell me the MAF appears to be under-reporting the amount of air... More air is entering the engine than the MAF is reporting, causing the car to run a bit lean, so the ECU adds fuel to correct...

What this mean is when you are driving around and not WOT/Open loop, the ECU is correcting the A/F by adding more fuel based one data from the sensors. When you go WOT/Open loop, the ECU stops listening to some of the sensors like the O2 sensors, but it appears that the ECU still takes the Fuel Trim into consideration and is adding all the extra fuel back in, causing you to run rich... at least that is how I understand things... this is just a general overview... there are a lot of underlying details i don't know, like when you go Open Loop does the ECU only take positive fuel trims into account?

and of course all of this could be complete BS that I just made up to impress you... LOL
