OK, truly stupid CD player question - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I used search and I read the manual. Question, is our CD player a single CD player. Many months ago I read that there was a six CD magazine embedded in the sytems and you fed them in one at a time. Bologna? I think so, but decided to humiliate myself and ask.

yeah, buy the package that gives you the PDIM and USB port that doesn't even work properly if you want to listen to more than 75 minutes of music without fussing around changing CD's

The CD player can read data CDs with MP3s on them

This is true. I have a CD with 175 MP3 songs on it. The deck will randomly play the MP3 CD if you do not first let it index the CD. It took about 4-5 minutes to index all 175 songs. But after that I am able to go to any song I want.

Just put the songs in folders if you want to navigate it a little easier. I can usually fit about 7-8 albums on a disc.

I didn't know it had to index mp3 CD's also

I don't think ive ever heard of any cd player that had to do that, ever.
Even when the very first cd players were capable of reading mp3 files, it was instant and no need to index anything.
Where in the hell did gm get this radio from, some alternate reality where everything sucks?
