Here is the final decision factors...Manual-takes time to learn shift points / Auto-get in and drive...Manual-indeed faster over auto(tested) / Auto more consistent run times...Manual-generally a lot cheaper, funner, and a good motor stock / Auto-more exspensive, better resale(cause anybody could drive it as long as you can reach the gas pedal), would need a tune before it gets even close to a manuals run(and the tune voids your powertrain warranty), although Auto has better mpg.. If after all this you still want Automatic...so be it, but thats like buying a hot rod look-alike in v6. If you are going all out get manual, if your not...well, get auto v6. Why do you see so many mustangs...because they come in v6 and automatics...

This is my first auto and I love it. I've driven manuals enough to know that I don't need to prove myself to anyone by being able to hammer through the gears. While it can be fun, there is no special knowledge or technique needed to drive these LS3s. I just love how the M3 owners think they are "real men" because they drive a stick. To be perfectly honest, it's laughable and amusing. ![]() PQ said it best..... |

I see you made some movies...cute. Look, just because you bought an automatic doesnt mean you have a slow car that is any less manly...just says you bought it to cruise in and that hp(without voiding GM warranty) wasn't important. Whoever has the most money will have a faster car, but being the ss that doesnt consistently get beat by new 5.0 feels good. You know on their forums they know the l99 is easy to take but the ls3 is a for sure contender. If it was a matter of comfort as a daily driver in stop and go traffic with lots of shifting and clutch pumping all day, I would probably buy the automatic...I didnt buy this car as a daily driver. For those that are saying u did...why? Its an f-ing 6.2 liter...buy a v6. Im just saying...but really, cute videos...

Personally enjoy an M6 but there are times I would prefer the auto.
1. Heavy stop and go traffic jams 2. Trying to eat and drive ![]() 3. Hold hands with my lady! PS. Those videos are insulting grow up...

Hes probably off making another video to explain why he doesnt have buyers remorse. Plus, if this guy actually drove stick before he would feel awkward driving automatic. I have to have my wifes suv in manual mode on her automatic or else I feel unnatural...I, had drove my truck for 3 years and still, on occasion, reached for the shifter even those its automatic.
Plus, you have a reason you cant hold hands...free's up her hands...Yeah, those videos where almost on a 14 year old level...No offense to all the youngins on here waiting to turn 16 to get there Camaro as a gift. Yeah, look at his post count...bet he feels like a big man. |

No dude, it really isn't. If you want to argue that it is more fun to drive a stick, I'm in it to win it. However, it ain't that hard and it certainly doesn't take "mad skillz".

Although you claim you didnt make those videos...you endorsed them enough to post them up. Just knowing that I have the ls3 is justification enough, dont need to explain that to ya. Im glad you got the ss version that better suited your needs. However, stock for stock, you know you would lose. For one my car is faster(stock for stock), and for two I am a good driver. Heres the thing guy, I am not rich therefore rather not be buying a new engine and or tranny. So, I plan to keep mine stock, this is why I posted here this above post. To educate him how the only way l99 and ls3 numbers are close is with a tune, which inturn voids your GM warranty. Just seems stupid to just give up a free warranty for a tune...Yeah, I wouldn't own up to making those videos either if I was you.
