Inferno Orange Metallic ( IOM ) with white stipes at Montreal Auto show

Door and dash should be IOM as well.. Something isn't right with the picture...

I was worried about IOM with IOM interior accent just being too much as well, but wow that looks incredible!

There are only three things that would make it look better, if it had CGM stripes, the right interior panels, and was sitting in my garage right now..

That is my favorite combo, I love the white stripes on the orange. I don't like the way the stripes stop on the spoiler. Looks better over the spoiler, IMO.

Orange peel is the textured surface of paint that resembles the peel of an orange. It is caused by the paint drying too fast and not 'flowing' out. It is hard to get a flawless finish without sanding and buffing. OEM cars have a great deal of orange peel because of the time and cost factors. It can really be seen on the white stipes in the above photos.

In these photographs, I simply don't see much of a difference between them.. (yes ones metallic one isn't but I'm talking about the color) (concept is a pearl I believe)

Yeah, it has the speedo that goes to 300 km/h.... The guy working the show said it was bound for T.O. after the Montreal show..... That's all he said..... You never know, you'll probably have something there....

This is another shot of the red SS/RS at NAIAS. (Thanks to DET MUSL)

There's a distinctive difference to my eyes, and there will be when you see them next to each other on the lot. But photos and lighting don't do similar colors any favors. I'd bet if SIM wasn't metallic, some would mistake the occasional photo for white.

I've questioned my IOM choice a couple of times but when I see the pics it speaks to me! LOL!

I see the stripes stop on the spoiler too. Not a good sign if you prefer over the spoiler!

Now that we've seen the stripes I really want to see the black hood/hockey stripe I ordered.

IOM with Black Stripes (although I'm getting mine painted would be nice to at least see)

After seeing the seat combo inside it solidifies my decision to go with IO interior with the IOM exterior. Tint the windows and it will look awesome. The black on the seats will set it off and put just enough black on the inside to make it look Bad @ss!

+1 but at this time I debating to bump it up to a 2SS RS IOM with auto and polished wheels. I'm working a lot but I don't want to put me or my wife in finacial trouble. I can live with the 2LT RS fully loaded but my heart still yearns for the 2SS.

I agree. I may be wrong because with the trim package W1H comes with the interior orange trim plus the special seats and on the SS it will have an SS emblem in the headrest.


Edit: Wife also wants a new GM but she like the Mailbu.

P.S. Could someone photoshop a 2LT and a 2SScar with Black ralley stripes (not the BIG FAT BLACK ONE) which go over the spoiler? Thank you in advance. I wish my work would let me get this car site on the computers but they have it blocked.

it looks like the stripes go under the spoiler and also on top... I wonder what they look like with out the spoiler? I need to know since I am getting a high wing.

If I had photoshop and knew how to use it I would see if I could make that happen but I don't so I just hope someone will put a pic of it with black stripes and then another with a hockey stripe for you.
