DT Shorty install today-Engine light now on

Hello,
Had DT Shortys installed today and engine light is now on. Autozone diag shows Lean Condition Bank 1. Other mods are CAI intake and Borla axleback. Any ideas how to fix (without getting aftermarket tune)?

I would just clear the code for now and disconnect the battery cable for a few minutes to reset the trims. It may never return. If it does, then you may have to deal with it.

and for leaks at the manifold and downpipes connections as they will draw in air causing a false lean condition...

Have DT shorties, hi-flow cats, "X" pipe, CAI and canned Predator tune, zero codes to date after approximately 9k miles. Ditto on checking for a air leak at the head/headers or the header/cat flange and make sure the o2 sensors are completely plugged in. JT

Make sure the driver side front 02 is plugged in. After that it might need an 02 sensor. I've had 2 cars in the shop with the same code. Both had other shops do the install and come to find out the 02's were stripped(common factory problem) and the shops used a torch to get them out. They fried them.

So,reset. If the codes come back quickly change the 02 or go to a shop to diagnos it properly. A lean code means it's dumping 25% more fuel on that side of the motor.

no codes thrown or SEL on mine either with the DT shorties, even with the hiflow cats installed. yep, like slohawk said, you're getting more fuel on that side of the motor.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have to take it back tomorrow to have the the bolts re-torqued so I'll have them check for leaks and O2 issues and reset.

Looks like you have alot of the same responses. I'd think that there is a leak upstream without a doubt.
