If the Z28 is gonna be a 2012 car. It'll be available sometime in 2011. Or It'll be a 2013 car and dealers will have them by mid 2012.

The standard used to be cars had to be in showroom floors by December to be concidered the following year car. I haven't seen a half year car in years.

Going by the ZR1 for example because it was one of the latest popular cars from GM. Videos/pictures of the prototype car testing in the wild shown around September. An offical press release from GM came out in December of 07, ended up at an autoshow early the next year(2008) I beleave it was on showroom floors by mid to late 08 as the 09.

GM is good, but not good enough to beat a GT500 for $45K. The Z28 will be around $55K MSRP.

I've heard Fall 2011, with sales commencing first 1/4 of 2012.
(Cannot reveal my source, but I trust it, it hasn't been wrong yet with the Camaro).

Automakers release what would have been considered 'half year' cars all the time. Odds are, the 2010 Camaro would have been considered a 2009 1/2 since it came out in early 2009 rather than late 2010.

I can see the Z28 realistically running around the 50k mark, but if it goes much more than that they may have people going to the Vette instead when you start talking that kind of money.

Not this guy. I'm CAMARO to the bone I'd walk right by a 'Vette for Z28, so long as it's equipped the way I think it's going to be.

Do you mean late '08?

Thats why I said the standard used to be. I'm not shure if thats followed anymore or what it is.

Ehhh you have your brand/model loyalist and you have performance junkies. For example why buy a GT500 or a Supersnake when you can have a faster better handling Vette. The brand/model guy will stick with the Mustang the performance junkie will go with the dollar to performance ratio Plus the Camaro will have four seats.

Everyone has an answer...and they all vary.

November 2011 was the most concrete date ever mentioned... but I've heard from a few with a little more clout that sooner WOULD BE better.

Now lets talk successful marketing.... Transformers has without a doubt helped the car... TIII is due out July of 2011 - so wouldn't it be great to have the Z available shortly thereafter? I mean, the TIII car and the Z will more than likely be very similar in appearance....

This concludes my personal speculation.
The best marketing plan would be to have a Z/28 at most of the larger movie theatre markets on the premiere day, and start taking orders the same day
