Z28 coming on in August?

My co-worker today told me that Z28 is coming out on august, and he's a big Chevy fan. Do you think that true that its coming out on august? If this is true i'm going to say bye bye to SS. and get that, as some of you already read my post about me test drove the SS. Is it better off save that money and get it. I don't know the price Z28.

I was originally hoping for a summer 2011 launch of the Z28 but I do not think it will happen that soon. When Fbodfather said it was not going to be displayed at the Detroit Auto Show in Jan 2011, then there is no way it would be ready by August. Right now my very best guess would be late 2011 or beginning of 2012. Basically at best a year away.

Unfortunately, no. You still may want to save for it, though. Think....2011...mid or late, though...who knows.

And they seem to be gunning for the GT500...that's our best guestimate on price-points.

My best realistic guess and what I am planning/saving for is $48 - 52 thousand. If they go past $55,000, I think they will be hurting themselves.

I would absolutely love $40-45,000 but I don't think it will be that low. And do not forget the dealer "Market Adjustment" on top of MSRP.

You should be able to avoid that by ordering from a dealer who will honor MSRP or lower. GT500 seems to be doing okay. Even the 2011 MY.

Considering the 2ss/rs loaded can push 40k, I would think you could expect to see right around 50k for the Z.

I did find a dealer on the west coast of Fl. that guaranteed me MSRP and the first name on his Z28 list and I gave him a deposit in April to lock him into the MSRP price. In S.E. Fla. I fully expect to see $5,000 to $10,000 over MSRP for quite a long time on a limited production, high demand vehicle. When the C5 Corvettes came out in 1997, they averaged over $5,000 Market Adjustment increases for several years. I had to go out of state to purchase my 1999 at just slightly below MSRP. South Florida is NOT the place to buy a new, very much in demand car unless you want to pay a lot more for the car.
