Putting Domino away tomorrow afternoon. Last day of good weather here in Iowa. It's going to go to hell this weekend.

Instead of dryer sheets I'm using untreated charcoal brickettes to absorb any odors.

No steel wool in the exhaust. Mice aren't that freaking tall.

Sea Foam in the fuel, laying down a huge waterproof tarp on the garage floor as a moisture barrier, filling up the tires to max psi, laying down some 2" foam squares to put under the tires, a NOAH car cover, and a battery tender.

Stay away from Sta-Bil and go with Sea Foam for a fuel stabilizer.

Only car I've got so I'll have to use it. On my way to put over 20,000 miles within the first year!

Forgot to grab this one. Sorry. You should see how tall we grow our mice.

Actually they will crawl up the tires and find their way to the exhaust pipe. You would be shocked where they can get to given time and energy.

I saw what they did to a vette in storage, the mice packed the entire exhaust system with dog food they where stealing from the dogs dish, the dealer couldn't figure out why the car would barely run and sent it accross the street to my friends exhaust shop. I wouldn't have believed it if not seen...

I'm putting mine up for the winter, already have a parksmart floor cover, and some stabil.
Fortunately I have a heated garage/shop and can see/mod it all winter.

Kind of like when you have to drive through a sand storm in the desert and it blasts the paint off all the leading edges. (only heard about it), except it eats the steel from underneath.

Starting her up once or twice a week is a very bad thing to do. Your car will not warm up properly and moisture will get into the engine through the exhaust. After driving three Camaros through winters in New England, last year I bought a Buick Century as a winter, go to the mall car. It was a wise investment. Put Stabil in the gas and buy a battery tender at Wallmart for twenty bucks and you will be fine. Let it sit for the winter unstarted. I did this last year with no problems. My SS is in a garage though, not outside.

I'll be driving my Camaro on good/clear days... otherwise she'll be parked in the garage.

Parked up in the shop, plugged in to a battery doctor, Stabil in the tank, rags in the tailpipes, mothballs under the car on trays front and back and bait laid out for the mice.
It's trying so hard to snow right now, spitting slush and snow and rain. Our temps are supposed to go down to single digits by Sunday night. ugh.
I've got a 4x4 mazda pickup that is my winter driver because our place starts looking like this around mid-dec.

Mine is stored. Stabil is a must. For the rest all depends if the garage is heated or not.

Not me. It's my DD so I'll just deal with it. I have a protection plan against rust so I'm not worried and I'll go to my local do-it-yourself car wash and just spray her down a few times a month.

I had a 2008 Mustang GT before trading it in on a '11 2LT. We go to Florida every winter. The shop foreman at the local Ford dealer said "put your car on a battery tender & forget it". he said it will do more harm just starting the car every so often! The GT was on a battery tender for Jan-March(3 months) Came home and had no problems starting it up. Oh by the way I also used stabil!!!
