Vengeance Racing installs Whipple 2.9L Supercharger on 2010 Camaro.. Results inside!!

This was our first Whipple Install for the 2010 Camaro. We have built several dozen TVS2300 powered Camaros so we were quite anxious to see how the Whipple compared in quality and performance.

The Car: STOCK 2010 LS3 Camaro

The Modifications:

Whipple 2.9L Supercharger system
FIC Modified LS3 Fuel Injectors
Kenny Bell Boost Pump
American Racing 1 7/8 Stainless Longtube Headers
CATTED X pipe
Installation/Tuning by Vengeance Racing
STOCK AIR BOX
STOCK CATBACK
12 psi peak
Pump gas

The Results: 613RWHP/574RWTQ... This is a gain of 251RWHP/209RWTQ over stock. I am confident we could pull another 20rwhp or more out of this combo with a new clutch. The customers clutch did not like the added power AT ALL and let us know by the smell it put off after each run. We stopped tuning with a VERY conservative # to keep the clutch in tact for a little while for the customer.

Fit & finish is incredible!!! The kit itself is very detailed and includes EVERYTHING needed for install down to a replacement K&N Panel filter. The best thing I can say about this supercharger system is that after 6 dyno pulls I could lay my hand on the blower and it was warm to the touch. Coolant temp in the intercooler was also warm to the touch but would not burn you...

Below are some pics of the completed installation.

Vengeance Racing is now a dealer for Whipple Superchargers!!! We believe this is the best available option to date for the 2010 Camaro!!! Give us a call for incredible pricing!!!!

Great results Ron; This thing is awesome;
I wonder two things:
a) What would be the numbers without the headers?
b) What would be the numbers if you had also added CAI to this combo?

Nice Job Dude! These Whipples really rock! My L99 picked up 172rwhp from just adding the whipple and a retune. Speaking of those intercooler temps, I found the same thing to be true at the dyno and the strip. Every run I hooked the car stayed w/ in a 1 tenth spread. Very little heat soak.

Nice numbers....What was the timing at on that...seemed like it was fluttering on the dyno a bit on upper rpm's. But sure seemed to be producing solid and strong results.

wow, impressive numbers on a mostly stock car... but I am just curious, wouldnt you want to at least run water/meth for safety at 12psi on a stock motor?

The only thing "fluttering" was the clutch disc ... As I mentioned above we were having clutch issues and stopped the tune short of this combos potential. Timing was right at 14* and air fuel was 11.20s.... There is more left in it

Nice number's and nice choice on the Black Whipple, it looks right at home on top of the engine. I really like the jack shaft cover, I always though about the miss fortune of some guy wearing a neck tie leaning over a Maggie with the engine running and getting choked out or worse.

I like hearing about the burnt clutch, that just goes to show the awesome power of a Twin Screw vs TVS. You Whipple boy's are sure in for a treat, good and better thing's come to those who wait.

I'm definitely going Whipple but I'm on the fence between the more practical 2.9L or the 3.4L. I'd like to have the 3.4L just for bragging right's but it requires more mod's to shine.
