Um.... I was just throwing that info out there about the 2 "factory" hotrods.
This thread is titled Chevy Camaro vs...... and not Chevy Camaro SS vs.......right?
Don't get so worked up just because GM has not shown up to the party with a Camaro to throw down with those 2 cars.
It just seems to me that GM has little interest in making extreme Camaro's when they already have the Corvette as the top dog.

I wasnt aware of the fact that I was worked up and I am not sure how my post reflected that...but whatever.

I agree...GM has rarely offered a high performance variant of the camaro like ford has with the mustang. Being the mustang is fords only sports car this would stand to reason.
We might get a z/28...which would be great. Their will still be some type of mustang that is faster or better....their are 1000 different versions at 1000 different prices. And honestly this is cool....but when people compare them to cars that are far less expensive it is dumb.

My post wasnt aimed at you anyway....it was toward kungfu with his little pissy remark about the links to your 100 thousand dollar mustangs "not counting". I guess he thinks they should count for something.

If it is for bragging rights I strongly disagree.

Guys do like to compare the way more expensive "sports car" Corvette Z06 to the way less expensive "muscle car" GT500. But if I were to compare my 2010 GT500 to my buddy's 2010 L99 SS Camaro people cry foul even though we paid the same money for our cars.
It'll be excellent once the Z28 finally comes out. Then we can have "fair" comparisons between the 2012 models of the Z28, GT500 and SRT-8 Challenger. That'll be very cool.
In my opinion it's gonna be a win, win situation for all muscle car fans and if you can afford to, just buy what you like most. They're all very awesome cars.

Or are you comparing the deal you got on a used 2010 GT500 to his very bad deal? Just trying to figure out your statement because the cars are not even close in price.

A 2SS starts at 34k. 1SS at 31k. A GT 500 starts at 50k. I paid 33k OTD for my car.

The two cars are not even close in price.
