The Volt is a step towards a brighter future...it's not a miracle 'cure'. BUT -- they are bringing out other new cars that are more profitable. The Cruze for example -- it was designed to bring in profit, and it's got a great ainterior, exterior, and returns 40mpg hwy. THAT has a good chance to help improve their financial standing, along with their many other new vehicles, like the Malibu (which increased in sales 40% in during '08s horrendus market downturn).

Go test drive a Camaro when it comes out, and don't pay too close attention to all the foolish "bankruptcy" reports coming out left and right. GM will be around for some time to come. Besides, your money would be helping them turn things around
Nissan pulled out but then went back in. There was a article later released that Nissan changed it's mind.

Don't follow the Nissan close enough to recite it's time.

4.7 0-60 for 370z. 13.3 at 106 mph.

The HR 350z (07+) has already done 13.1s at 107-108 bone stock by owners.

I expect the 09s to be a little quicker.

i saw the 4.7 as well, but that might be a little on the low side... everyone else gets 4.9-5.1

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

The 370 Z is going to be good , but some ppl cant see it for having blinders on .
The on Evom.net they had the same thread 370 Z vs Evo X , the new EvoX runs 13.5-13.9@99-100mph and some still said the X can out run the Z ???

Pretty sure when someone takes a Z to enghishtown you will see high 12's .
About on par with what we are hoping for the SS .

There is more than one good/great car out there and just b/c this is a XXXXXXX (insert name of fourm your on right now) we shouldnt be blind to that......

i know the 350z would pull 13.1 stock, so the new 370z should dip under into the 12's for sure.

its a MUCH sportier car than the Camaro
That remains to be seen. Definitely expect these cars to be close competitors in the mags this year!

I would say the 370Z does have something of a sportiness edge over the Camaro by virtue of having only 2 seats and being much smaller. That's subjective of course. Objectively, numbers will probably slot in between the V6 and SS Camaros. Price is solidly in SS territory though which is a disadvantage to the 370Z. It is a very good competitor with distinct advantages and disadvantages. Its on my list, along with the Genesis Coupe. The Camaro isn't a sure thing for me, and I love having all these choices.

I love the 370Z, and it would for-sure be in my super-collection.

Until I hit the lottery, I choose TORQUE and RUMBLE! (Camaro SS)
