Which M3 was it? E30, E36, E46 ... E46 M3 vs SS is a drives race IMHO.

I'd like to call shenanigans here. Not that I don't love the Camaro, I know I drive a Mustang but it is possible to love them both. Anyways, the Boss 302 Leguna Seca was made to beat the M3 so if Boss 302 LS>M3>Boss 302>5.0≥SS then M3>SS. And if M3>SS than any BMW M>SS and rightfully should be because they cost a hell of a lot more.

I'm on my way to work at 6am, everythings dead when out of no where this cocky guy in a E550 starts coasting with me when no one was stopping him from passing me. He then slows down then crosses over and gets on my rear end; I'm like dude wtf really?

So he gets back to the side of me, so we went at it. His car was all white,......so my Camaro made marshmallows of his benz. When I say smoked,.....it was so funny. Left the poor lil fella miles behind.

But damn did I burn gas fast........:flag1:

I wouldnt just assume that 1. guys in BMWs are arrogant and want to race every Camaro. 2. Your Camaro will smoke them...

My daily driver is a 740 IL when its too bad to take out the Camaro. I love my Camaro more than anything, but unfortunately the BMW will make easy work of anything lacking serious mods.

There are plenty of other car sites that mention our bad road manners as well. Its too bad we cant just be car enthusiasts. Crap like this just takes a lot of the fun out of it.

No way much heavier than an M3 with a slower motor... BMW's have no TQ an M3 has like 420HP and 290TQ all bark no bite...

The 335i and 335d both have considerably more torque under or a considerably flatter powerband.

I used to hunt down T/A's, Camaro's, Cuda's, Vette's, Mustang's and V-8 Vegas... In a 30 or so mph rolling start, none of them could touch me... until about 110 mph, and then I had to get out of it or take off... that Pinto was shaped too much like a wing... It got seriously squirrely... It did not like to leave the line though... not enough tire, which was part of the deception... I did borrow a friends N50 series M/T's, and proceeded to scare the crap out of myself... I almost tagged both walls at the strip... yes over both lanes, fortunately the other dude was sitting at the line smoking his tires... about a hundred yards down the strip, I hit second, launched the car sideways, all the way across the track and slid right up to the wall, over corrected a bit, and almost ran into the wall on my own side of the track... uhmm.. I was a little slow getting off the gas in my excitement... (read FEAR) What fun that was...
We built mine after a night of drinking in the garage and made a bet to my buddy that had a mustang that I could be him in my work beater. It snowballed from there. Great fun was had.

As far as BMW drivers I really haven't had any problems with them except for the snot nosed teeny boppers with the lousy 3 series hand me down from daddy.

All bark and no bite ? Take your camaro to a track against the oldest m3 you can find... I guarantee you leave with your tail between your legs.

Or I could pull out my M5, It also has NO TORQUE. You feeling froggy?

I've only had one mess with me an M3, just last month, he pulled up next to me, waved his finger forward like he wanted to go, I pushed in the clutch, revved the motor & hit the purge, and he hit the brakes. I don't street race & my clutch was gone, even with 700 RWHP he would have left me due to clutch slip if I wouldn't have scared him off. New clutch will be at the house going by the tracking # on the 14th, hopefully I'll catch him at the track one day. I don't need to spray him to beat him, but the purge & exhaust note of with the frickin massive cam I have usually scares them off, if it doesn't I usually get them to pull over, and set up a race at the track.

I'll try to get my buddy to post up here, he's a lawyer and has a highly built M5, pushing about 700 WHP, instead of me telling the story, I'll see if he will come on here and tell you what happened to his tuner built race ready M5 to my little ole street 4th gen Firebird. Of course that race couldn't happen again, as I'm now putting the finishing touches on a 632 bbc with a 106mm thumper on it.

I always see Beamers driving way faster than everyone else even when they are not racing anyone.

That's just what "those guys" who drive them do. Just ignore them.
