Is this a cereal question? For cereal? Stock for stock, a G35 will not and cannot beat you in an SS unless you can 1) Only count to potato, or 2) have zero arms and legs.

My car has the first HR engine in the US market, the 306 hp(technically 309 bhp w/standard Dual Ram Air Intake) VQ35HR, I love how she sounds when you rev her up, sounds fantastic, from the outside especially.

Good post with good points through out ! Haha, though G35 coupe didn't exist in 2008... I'm on G forums otherwise I wouldn't care

And and a 911 Turbo from 10 years ago is faster still, it too only has 6 cylinders. Whats your point? Its not as if the V6 Camaro was ever supposed to be the be-all and end-all of Camaro performance.

Engine configuration isn't really a meaningful way to compare 2 cars. I'd go by price and performance, since thats what people actually use to shop with. I can't think of too many people where a V6 (or any other engine) is a selling point in and of itself. They'll want the more efficient engine, or the more powerful one, or the cheaper one, etc. But buying based solely on the number of cylinders and their arrangement? Not so much.

I would happily agree to disagree.

You could try and say it sounds better or different because of the sound recording device used at the time, but I can tell you it sounds EXACTLY the same in person. 350Z's with the VQ35HR sound even better....

My car(not my video but it's what it sounds like in person):

Old G35 stock exhaust, PLEASE IGNORE the gay ass first part, just fast forward to :40 seconds or so....

Stock G37 exhaust

*INFINITI

Well you say it as if it's just a fact, most people like it, Infiniti intentionally acoustically tuned the exhaust and gave it that distinctive sound because so many people like it. It's not offensive in normal driving, but has a fierce jaguar esque roar at full throttle.... It is not as refined or smooth, but it's meant to be that way and those characteristics of the engine match the personality of the car and the way it accelerates perfectly.

my sis has a 2010 jaguar XF, and the V6 in any car should not be mentioned in its category. The Nissan V6 does not sound like a Jag V8.
