ummm....why? This guy makes Camaro drivers look bad and is an easy enough target for "stang boys". And the "stang boy" that posted is pretty logical if ya ask me. If I were a cop, I wouldnt start a chase like that over failure to maintain your lane.

Its my understanding that cops don't fire their guns unless there is no other choice. Besides, they were attempting to lay a spike strip under the wheels while he was stopped which would accomplish the same thing but be safer for all involved.

Also, if the guy was arrested I wouldn't say he won. Well, unless you count jail time as 'winning' ...

In general I'd agree with you, but, IIRC, they mentioned they tried to use spike strips on him 4 different times. After the second, at least, failed attempt, when he pulled over I would have simply shot a tire out. At this point, it is apparent the driver is not going to stop until he is simply forced to. I'm certain letting the driver continue to go on would drastically increase the chances of an accident compared to the chance of a bullet ricocheting an injuring someone. The latter would have such a low chance of happening that I would disregard it at that point. BTW, as Twin said, hindsight is always 20/20, so if I was in the same situation at that time I might have responded the same as those officers did.

Being a career Firefighter with 17 years on the Dept., I can tell you that when we need to break out a car's windows (for ex, in a rescue) we don't use blunt instruments like those cops did. We use a window punch that will immediately shatter the glass, making it very easy to clear away. But better yet, we carry a LOT of axes.

And the title of the thread wasn't off. It was the spike strips that actually won.

Yes, because those spike strips threw themselves under the camaro all on their own without any help

Being as the side windows are only 4" high, LEO had issues hitting the mark. I seriously doubt that the Interceptors had issues keeping up with the V6 Camaro, I've put 6 cars on an RS from a dig lol. What a POS, drunk tool....

I love how in the first stop she just sits there and lets them pound and rock the car and then decides to try and get away... which made no sense because she had no real charges
