I mean, who cares which is faster, really? 99% of you here are just internet racers like me and letting some .00384703939 sec difference get your fanboy koolaid red panties get in a bunch is pathetic.

Then those who want to see time slips...this matters even less because either car (5.0 and LS3), and even the 11 Mustang V6 eats the Camaro V6.

Stock GTs are running low 12s as well. 12.58 as a mater of fact. And that's the auto tranny.

I was trying to make a joke that our guys with the Camaros are cheating in order to run mid 12's bone stock.

Many are trying to say the stock Camaro is slow.

I am trying to show that it can run pretty good times according to our own guys times.

5.0 is fast yes...but nothing beats the torque of a 6.2L...

Fun factor goes to chevy. Ingenuity on trying to beat chevy goes to ford.

So far the fastest times, stock, in the 2011 GT's are automatics.

The fastest time seen so far, stock, is 12.37 or right around there. Thats stock rubber as well.

The Auto 5.0's are roughly the same weight as the LS3 SS's, but shift correctly and perfectly timed each and every time, which the LS3 SS cannot (the best human driver will never be as fast).

In all reality the fact that the 2011 Mustang has beaten the 2010/11 Camaro in performance is a good thing. Ford didnt get a hurry up with the 5.0 until the Challenger and Camaro arrived, and its done very well. Now GM has the 5.0 and the 392 Hemi to deal with, which should make the 2012/2013 Camaro even better!

saw a 11 stang with CA andstock pipes & tune. run 11.80's STREET TIRES!

did not CARE my car looks and drives BETTER!

...well, according to the latest Motor Trend issue, the V6 Camaro is faster in 0 to 60 and 0 to 100, with dead even times in the qtr mile...

its a drivers race to the 1/4 mile everyone knows this alrdy why do we keep arguing about this, but what i do want to see is a mile race between the 5.0 and SS that would tell u who has the engine that can keep pulling like a freight train IMHO i think the SS would take this one o and the v6 mustang thing i really can care a less my car looks a s$$t ton better and is even faster now and ive beaten cars in my little v6 that i shouldnt have but hey thats racing everyone has human error

That is not a fair compatison. If your buiddy had an. L99 A6 the outcome would probably have been different. If you are into dragracing an automatic can not be beaten. They are more consistent and easier to launch.

he got his mods done when it was to cold to race, going to have to wait tell next spring/summer, but it would even matter cuz i will be cammed by then

that is true, but the only problem you will face is that the stang can talk and you really cant in terms of a race

So that would be no.

When arriving at the track you run what you brung. Someone is always going to be faster.

When I raced my snowmobile, the un-written rule was if you line them up it is what it is. Again run what you brung.

So next year you will be cammed, then he will be cammed then you will have a SC or maybe TT. Then he will have nitrous. Get my point.

Just line them up and run them and see what happens.
