Yea that is a side effect if you use it too much or hold it too long.
I use it just for launch. a second or two on it before green light..
Always ride clutch out when launching I agree. Way better for drive train.
Oh theres comes with connectors too so you dont have to splice into coil.. sweet.. for the shift cut I might lean toward lingerfelter (they need a easier name)

Can use for launch but you need to drive it out anyway, not pop clutch.

Great for no lift shifts, hooked up to reverse pressure switch at top of clutch pedal. As soon as clutch moves in it activates. Set at 4,500 to 5,000 it prevents over spinning the tires and you leave gas at full throttle during speed shift.
Only activated for very limited time.

Lingerfelter 2 step is plug and play with multiple trigger options. (set up probably a little more involved) Clutch does not have to be all the way on the floor with reverse pressure switch.

Greg, not sure if you know but Ted stocks these, I'm pretty sure this is the 2-step he uses. He's an MSD guy. Both Don and Ray have them installed in the car. They go in pretty quick. I say just get one and see what happens.

Didn't know he stocked but I know he deals msd. He will be who I buy it from of course. Just wanted to get opinions on here. I hate bothering Ted all the time when I'm not even ready to buy.
So they do have it already. I'm really thinking about it. I think I am going to do. Now just got to figure out which I'm going to rob

Lingenfelter LNC-002 and LNC-003 2-steps

The Lingenfelter LNC-002 retards timing by delaying when to fire the coil. This is done based on a user selected adjustment knob and a boost sensor (if using the boost sensor mode).

The LNC-002 is currently not available. We are redesigning the product this winter due to one of the microprocessors in the current design no longer being available. While we are redesigning the product, we welcome any feedback from people on things that we should add or change to the design of the product.

The LNC-003 is similar to the LNC-002 but instead of having a timing retard function it provides two separate RPM limit settings. The LNC-003 is still available from LPE (and many of our jobbers as well).

We also recently lowered the price of the LNC-003.

Here is an image of the LNC-003 showing the wiring and the module itself with the adjustment screws:

Our web site has the instructions available for these products. The instructions are fairly detailed and include a description of the operation and several different wiring methods.

Our product, like the MSD product, is plug and play to the coils. The only wiring that needs to be done is for how you decide you want to trigger/activate the 2-step.

Not so simple. The Camaro is a can bus system. You will have to install a micro switch on the clutch pepal to make the MSD 2 step work.

Can anyone tell me if the 2 step will work well with an A6 since we have no tranny brake available? I have a 3000 stall and wonder if this would allow me to spin up the motor without pushing through the tree?

no

just no

everything that you said

no

well.. a 2 step will work with either an auto or manual..... but the way you want to use it is improper, is no where near a substitute for a trans brake. The way you are looking to use it is extremely bad for your transmission. (I'm assuming you are talking about reving it in neutral and then dumping it into drive or first)

GQ4LIFE is talking about a neutral drop . Which is not a good idea and wrong for so many reasons . MERCURYMAN is talking about installing the 2 step to get his 60ft more consistant . I would say put the micro switch on the brake petal seeing that you will be footbraking the car . Set the 2step RPM I would say 300 - 400 RPM below where your converter flashes and adjust from there . Just because you have a 3000 stall doesnt mean it stalls at 3000 RPM . You are also going to need to install a switch to disactive and active the 2step. If you dont everytime you hit the brakes during normal driving the 2step will be active
