The exhaust is identical except for the mufflers. So technically yes.......

But the LS3 mufflers are straight-through while L99 mufflers have a J-pipe to help with drone caused by AFM. So the LS3 muffler on the L99 would be fine, if you don't mind drone.

Who would have known? Thanks for that bit of info Milk! You look under the Camaro and visually they all look the same from the muffler perspective. That is why I love this sight...I always learn something here everyday. Even if it is just a new people skill! An old dog can learn new tricks. Good luck to Greasy on the mufflers etc.

UPDATE: 01/03/11

I am ready to buy your mufflers.

Do you have your stock mufflers/cat-back laying around in your garage? Wanna make a couple bucks off it?

Maybe you're interested in a trade?

Not ready to pay $500+ for a brand new axle-back setup?

Once I can secure a pair of mufflers, I will be ready to sell my SLP Loudmouth II axle-back. They have been used, but definitely not abused. I installed them on my Camaro in the early spring 2010, and have been out of work since the end of 2009. So I'm estimating that I've put about 5,000 miles on them at most.

I am currently working, but will be out of work again at the end of February. I'm not looking to make money on the deal, I just want to make a little money back on what I've spent and give someone on here a good deal. I work Monday - Friday, and I'm usually off by 2pm... my weekends are pretty much wide open. But I cannot afford to drive further beyond Orange County or the LA basin.

I called one shop that was recommended to me because they had a stock cat-back exhaust laying around... but they wanted $700 for it installed, said it only had 20 miles on it. And that is PURE profit for them because someone came to their shop and had a brand new performance cat-back installed - and left their stock exhaust behind. That's not what I'm looking for. I don't care if the exhaust has 50,000 miles on it.

Why am I looking to sell my SLP LMII and re-install stock mufflers? - Well, I am not keeping my Camaro and I want to return it to stock.

Let's make a deal!

10-12-2010... Can you help out a local C5 brotha?

Do you drive an SS/L99?

Have you installed cat-back or axle-back exhaust?

Do you have your stock exhaust/mufflers laying around in the garage?

I'm currently running with SLP LMII axle-backs, and I love them. But, I am in a situation where I may need these stock mufflers back on my Camaro.

I've been unemployed since the end of December 2009, so my schedule is open.

I also may be selling my SLP LMII axle-backs as a result - probably closer to December 2010. Of course I'd give the homeboy discount on the used SLP LMII.

If you're currently standing on the fence about modifying your axle-back exhaust... and you're looking to change things up in a couple months, maybe we can work a trade and a bit more of a discount towards the SLP LMII if you're interested?

Let me know what you guys think...

I appreciate your consideration

Yowza... that's pushing it a little. I'm working within some time constraints at the moment. I'm looking to get the deed done sooner than later, but I'll be on here checking daily to see what's up.

Have you tried the dealerships? I had a GM Performance axle-back fitted before my car was delivered ... I was going to take the stock system then decided against it ... dealer told me that they have them laying around if I ever want one. I bought the car from Chevy Irvine if you want to give them a call.

Only downside is that they cut the old mufflers off and do a sleeve fit into the new one ... so chances are you'd have to weld them back on or make a sleeve.

Pity they're not like the Holden SSV Commodore I had back in Australia (Same as pontiac GX8GT) That had a flange on both sides... bolt on and off in 10 minutes.

Good luck!

Yeah man that's what I'd figure they'd have to do. I'm asking around on here first because I think I could get a better deal... plus I'll be looking to give someone a deal on my LMII's.

Just cut mine off, need to get rid of them. If you're willing to pick up, we'll work out a price that should make you happy.

That depends on how local you are. If you're in Fresno, I don't think that I could afford a 1-day 500 mile round trip in my Camaro... and my other vehicle gets 10mpg.

I'm a little tight on time... but even tighter in mileage restrictions as far as driving my Camaro goes. I've got about 100 miles to spare (50 mile round trip). Even 50 miles is far... but worth it for a deal.
