Since my cam install, according to the dyno, i'm still making power up to 6500and then i start to get the fall off. I haven't been able to run it since, but i'm interested to see what the difference is gonna be short shifting vs running it higher. My torque drops off around 6100.... so we'll see.

i wasnt picking on your numbers. i wonder what they would be on a dynojet. not guess work but an actual run. thats all i was saying.

heat em till they start pulling the revvs down and stage. when i do run it im definitely not dropping above 4500. clutch wont survive it. i have the 2 step set for 2500 for the street on 275 nitto's right now. Ford did the torque managment thing for all of the stangs. its just stupid. my dyno runs look good, but ive added a CAI. adding no-tune CAI's have caused the throttle to drop in the past. i gotta dyno it to see asap.

I say you got robbed when your direct competitor releases a v-6 base model that DIRECTLY competes with the GT model of 1994 - 2010. After 16 years of producing the same engine I would hope that it was mod friendly. I have nothing against mustangs but to be honest they have been nothing to get excited over since the last 5.0 It took the releasing of the Camaro for Ford to look at doing anything with the Mustang. |

Jpc would like to announce that we have test results on our CNC cylinder heads for the 2011 5.0L. We have just completed the install/testing on the heads for MM&FF and have a sneak peek of the results. We are not at liberty to post up complete dyno sheets at this time but we can let you in on some of the gains we experienced. The car we used for testing was Joe Marini's 2011 6spd manual GT. The car was equipped with a set of Kooks longtubes, 3" Off-road X-pipe, Bassani mufflers, JLT CAI, and a custom Diablosport/JPC tune. The car baselined at 424rwhp, we installed the cyl heads within 24hrs and did not change anything but the cyl heads, we made sure all of our temperatures were consistent and this is what we found:
A 36rwhp gain at 7,400rpm, 21rwhp gain at peak hp which was 6400rpm, 18rwhp gain at 5,000rpm, 5rwhp gain at 4,000rpm. The heads feature RGR designed cnc porting and a 5angle valve job. They are equipped with stock valves and we shim the valve springs, for added valvetrain stability at high rpms. 445rwhp heads only. cams and boss intake are next. just saying. this is where mine is headed.

the best heads in the world can only help so much down low. it doesnt gain anything 2-4k really. it needs cams and the boss intake badly. im curious what the boss intake will do by itself. then with cams.
