I don't know what the capacity is, but as a general rule 1/2 quart overfill is fine. CLG is on the money on this b is fine, a I would drain some.
If you had and LS3 I would say you are better off since you are going to burn some oil anyway, I don't think the v6 burn a substantial amount of oil usually.

I'm no gas engine mechanic, but I am a diesel mechanic. Pretty sure manufacturers are going to allow a little tolerance either way as long as it isnt a rediculous amount either way. I think you are fine just leaving it alone......

The V6 owners manual says the oil capacity is 6 quarts.
I think anything in the cross-hatched area is within the acceptable range. |
