I have a challenger, it was an R/T until we did an engine swap. I do have a 2SS. I can tell you that the Camaro is a better performer hands down. The Challenger is more comfortable, and roomier than the Camaro. The Nav in the Challenger is nice, you'll have to rely on OnStar, or get a TomTom. Do you want something sporty and cool looking, or cool looking and comfortable? The choice is yours. Hope this helps.

I would certainly say if it is only $1500 and you're already not happy with the current vehicle, I would pull the trigger and make the switch.

I have never been in a Charger so i can't speak much about the difference. What i can speak to is.... An L99 will easily take a manual RT Of course this is all purely hypothetical as i really know nothing about that VR 1SS A6 taking down that blue RT last Friday morning across the Bayside bridge.

Guys/Gals.....

You have been a great help so far. I have to say its pretty hard for me with all the 50/50 answers. With that being said you really have helped out a lot. Its nice to know that "IF" I dont pull the trigger you guys still respect and appreciate the Challenger.

Couple questions I have

1. Bluetooth= I hear it uses the onstar radio box to connect your Cell Phone BT? You dont need to have the hands free fee to use do you?
2. I hear people uploading google maps to use as Nav. Your saying there is a Cost to OnStar for navigation?

Thanks everyone. Going to two dealers tonight. One is in the OP, and the second is a 2010 yellow with 1500 GMPP cash, but no HUD :(.

Honestly I plain respect the new vehicles with the retro look. They just look plain bad a$$. I am a die hard Chevy guy, so of course I got the Camaro.

You can use the Bluetooth without an OnStar subscription if that is what you're asking. I did connect my Droid to the vehicle via "GM Music Connect" over the weekend and the Google Maps navigation on my phone does come over the speakers in the vehicle.

I switched to the Parada X's...really nice in all weather conditions here in DC. I use my android Incredible for GPS. The 2SS has bluetooth connectivity with the phone so the directions come over the speakers - the GPS interrupts Pandora radio and then resumes. Pretty cool feature.

I have respect for the Challenger for sure. Still wouldn't take one over the Camaro.....but that's me. Everyone has their own opinion.

I agree with the fact that if it's only $1500 and you're already not happy....I think you should pull the trigger. I've had my Camaro almost a year and I feel like I just got it last month. I love this car! My '69 has been sittng in the garage getting neglected because I end up wanting to drive my 2010 instead....and my 2010 is a daily driver.

You have to do what you feel is best for your situation. Both cars have pros and cons. You just need to weigh each one and then make your decision.

If you get White/Black you need to add the ground effects.....you can do that afterwards. It looks sweet IMO.

I traded my R/T and you definitely want the SS, huge difference. I opted for the v6 because I was done having fun and just wanted something I liked for 10k miles a year.

I think I'll get another Challenger one day, I still like the car, I just had a lemon that they claimed they couldn't fix so I got rid of it.

I got all the option in my Camaro, I didn't have the connectivity package in the R/T which was a huge mistake. And I miss how the R/T road high compared to the Camaro.

I was lucky, I only paid 31 for my "09 R/T and got 27 on trade. So I was able to basically trade one car for another.

Keep it!

I own three Camaros, including a 2010 SS, but recently rented a Challenger R/T in Florida and was very happy with the way the car felt/handled. Both are great cars with plenty of power, so you can't go wrong with either. We ended up with a General Lee orange, a color I personally would never choose, so my brother and I couldn't resist taking a pic of us impersonating the Duke boys! Point is, muscle cars are all about being fun cars to drive and enjoy. I have verified it can be done in a Challenger, so stick with your original decision and enjoy your car...
