Speed freak
I am waiting patiently for my chance to buy a new camaro. I bought the C-6 in 2005 when it 1st came out and now the new camaro. my biggest complaint so far is based on rumor for the most part. the rumor is that it will be in high production with a choice of v-6 or v-8. i would like to see it come out of the gate with a limited edition 500+ H.P. convertible to compete with Shelby's GT 500. perhaps a SS with the zo6 engine. Now that would make me by two of them. I am on the list with a deposit and I am waiting for great news. thank you, mike

Not dead, The LS2 is DEAD.
But the LS7, it's just not realistic. too expensive, and they don't make enough of them. (hand built). I'd say look for a blown LS3, but nobody important(GM execs) has even whispered about that, either.... It's nice to have you here, Kolton, but if I were you, I wouldn't expect a beast like that, right out of the gate. It's not to say it can't happen, but just not likely. |

Welcome to the site, Kolton. The only LS2 Camaros I think you'd see are going to be the concepts. I have a great feeling you can see an LS7 Camaro in the upcoming years. I know...huh???...a couple of you might be saying. C'mon. It's going to happen. The aftermarket companies and specialty part co's will make them. I betcha money we see a Berger, Tom Henry, etc LS7 special edition Camaro. They WILL be built...and will be very, very expensive.

I could have sworn I had it confirmed that the LS7 would be retired as well sometime in the near future, as the new Gen V LSs will allow that kind of power to be made at less expense. I could be wrong though.
Either way I'd say we won't see the LS7 is a factory Camaro, but I'm sure some custom shop will drop one in. |

If there is a high power camaro from the factory it will likely have the engine from the ZR-1, detuned. Remember, I said IF. And it will probably run you more than the price of a base corvette anyway
