Really, That dealer is a TOTAL IDIOT. I mean everyone here in Wisconsin KNEW the Packers were going to beat the Bears. So why the dealer took it out on his salesman with the Packer tie is beyond me. GO PACKERS

Well, if the dealership was involved in a Bears promotion and this guy did it, then I can understand it a bit. It does seem as if it could have been handled between two gentleman.

Your right, it could have been handled much better. The fallout they will receive from this will far outweigh any customer concern over a tie. Poor managment:(

I thought that when your boss tells you to do something, that you either do it, or understand that you could be disciplined. Depending on the employer or the profession, I could see termination as a possibility. I've never heard of anyone getting away with the " I thought you were joking" excuse. Then the boss told him a second time. Don't you think that you would get the hint? I sure would.

I don't know, a lot of the locals are probably bears fans, and might actually like the fact that they fired a packer fan. And may actually buy from them now.

I'm a dolphins fan, and if a dealership in miami fired a jets fan, i'd probably buy from them. lol Not saying anything they did was right, but it happened.

The problem lies where the boss said it would of been ok the day before, but not the day after a loss, so it had nothing to do with a dress code.

He told him to take it off twice and he didn't comply. Good bye sounds good to me. That was a very stupid and thoughtless thing to do on the salesman part. I bet if grandma was alive she would have smacked him upside the head for doing something that dumb. He's selling cars in the bears hometown and wears a packers tie the day after they beat the bears in the championship game. Smooth move.
