Idealy you'd go catback. With an x pipe. Espec if you have the auto tranny. Not sure which you have.

I have he fastlane intake. Love it. Can't get cooler air than behind the fog lights. lol And breathes about as good as you can.

Try the exhaust compilation stickey. It will help you decide as far as sound. Lot of good info too.

If I had it to do over agian, I'd seriously go drop springs and sway bars first. Then CAI and LTH and exhaust. Then go from there.

Yeah an x pipe is a must! I have looked at some of the videos on Borla for the ATAK and that is the kind of sound I am wanting it to sound like! Thanks again!

I pulled my fuses this evening. I can't wait to see if I notice any difference on the drive tomorrow am. I also like the one post on the better mileage after the pull. I am getting around 12 or so now, it would be nice to jump that up just a bit.

How often do you guys have to do the pull? This shouldn't affect any tuned vehicles settings, right? Just curious if I would lose the settings from a tune...

No. The tune settings will still be there. And, though we haven't had any tuner input on this, I don't see why you wouldn't have to pull them if you got bad or low oct. gas.

I'm guessing the tuners on here don't know. Makes me wonder how well they DO know these cars.

I like to do it anytime I think I got bad gas (hehe) or after I've let it go down past about 1/8 of a tank. I usually try to fill it when I hit 1/4 tank so I know if I run from the po-po they won't catch me for awhile.

I've done this on my 4runner since I bought it new in '98 but then again, it sees alot of dirt and gets gassed up at some shady places sometimes on wheeling runs.

There's no harm in doing it so I say do it as often as you think you need to.

How much do you guys go with the top tier gas thing? I can run 91 from a top tier or 93 from an other than top tier. Does it matter what I go with or should I go for the higher octane? Ill try the fuse pull when I get it out of storage this spring. I was often forced to run 89 because of lack of options. Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried searching the thread.

Don't sweat the question. Search is not that great on here.

93 would be best obviously but we've has no complaints with 91. you should be fine.
