As long as it's American Muscle. I love the Challenger, Mustang, and Camaro. If I had the $$$ I would have one of each. Without competition what fun is there?

Lets just leave it at that.

Is everyone else on 3rd shift right now or just really bored?

I am on third shift tonight (well almost morning now) and check the boards every now and then.

You and the "others" decided to start a pissing contest.

I posted a very objective comparison of the 3 cars base on experience and the "clan" decided to head down this path. Keep that in mind when the next thread comes along.
The clan?
The clan is the Camaro owners. This is a Camaro website, not a Camaro, mustang and Challenger can't we all just get along website. Do you feel the need to justify your blue-turd decision by coming in here and swinging the stick around? They do have their own sites, I'm sure. You could try googling it. I ran a new 5.0 out at our little track with my v6 and the owner wasn't even driving his own car because he was trying to get the best run he could get. He had slicks and an intake on his car and my little v6 had his car through the 1/8th mile because his guy couldn't cut a decent light if his life depended on it. Before those people start saying reaction time doesn't count towards your time just stop. The guy gave so many different excuses why his reaction time sucked it wasn't even funny. He ran a 12.5. It doesn't mean I think it's the best they can do, but in your way of thinking I should be able to say that a new 5.0 Mustang with slicks and an intake it's the best it could do because I was there and saw it with my own eyes. You were a previous owner for what, 3 months? You traded a car in after owning it for 3-months and claim to be a previous owner? Who does that?

And I'm having to make room for a new Challenger(happily) as that's the way the lady of the house is leaning and if she isn't happy nobody is. I personally like the way they look and like having the extra room in the back seat.

If those times are anything close to where you are with your mods, you better start looking at power adders for my Mustang and for my Challenger, nothing a tune, exhaust, cam and some tires can't handle. Hell maybe some tires and a tune....LOL!

Not up to spec son.
Did you just pull those numbers out of your ass?!?!?!

Here's a time slip from when the car had a CAI, longtubes and an axle back...on OEM rubber, and still on the factory tune.

This what was I turned post cam.....car was in dire need of a better tire. Until I get the tire/suspension work done, I'm staying off the strip as it will only result in a broken axle from the wheel hop.

60'............. 2.452
330'........... 6.088
660'........... 8.908
660’ mph..... 87.62
1000'.......... 11.276
1320'.......... 13.227
1320’ mph… 116.28

I'm at work right now, but I'll get you a video clip when I get home....will you require anything else?

It has nothing to do with your E.T. It does however matter ALOT if you are racing the guy next to you.

WOW... Those things really move. I wonder what the temp was. I don't doubt they can run like that , I'm just suprised with no mods. Lideo, owner of Alternative Auto Performance in Michigan, is king of the Mustangs where I live, and it took him every bolt-on that most of the Camaro guys are doing +410 gears and a DR to do the same thing. Regardless... nice run.

its stock except for a catch can and some other minor things like hood scoops that are actually open to allow the bay to get some cool air. will be installing a rear suspension kit on it to combat the hop i get at the track (its bad) which kills my 60' times. i spin all the way up through 2nd gear and sometimes into 3rd. i have much better success off the track because of the stock RSAs i'm assuming, but we cant talk about all that here! i still have to install other things as well...predator, cooler thermostat, MBRP cat back...ive held off for so long because i want to get good baseline runs at the track when i dont have to worry about the wheel hop at stock power...then i will add on the performance mods and see how they help.

i've only been to 2 different tracks with my car and dont have any vids to show. the first time was at some place in ohio where a friend of mine lives near took me to i had a personal best there of 13.5@105. perfect launch and it was a nice cool morning, my personal "glory pass" cause i havent gotten near that again in my 9 or so other passes that i've had with the r/t. i've managed to screw up every one of my other runs that day and at the track closer to me in pittsburgh this last fall it was worse! i have confidence once i can hook up at the line i will have a better shot at that again. with all that said, i have no slips or videos of my runs posted so no proof. i might as well not even talk about it.

do you run yours at the track at all?

not sure what happened to my last post...went to edit a misspelled word and its gone! oh well...i'll sum it up cause i dont feel like typing all that out again...

no power adders at the moment. installing a rear suspension kit for challengers called "hopnot" this winter. it virtually eliminates the terrible hop that the 6-speeds are plagued with. i plan on then taking it back to the track to get baseline runs as stock power. tried it before and couldn't get traction through 2 and 1/2 gears with the junk RSA's on the car. had one real good run, and the rest were not that good due to the hopping and spinning. didnt want to break anything. i have no slips or videos on the computer to prove anything either. i've had much more success on the streets, but we cant talk about that here

do you get to run yours at the track often?

Challengers are nice, drove one the first time this week. I'm not going to lie, I loved it. It was "just" a bone stock R/T auto so it was pretty much a dog compared to my mildly modified LS3 but it was a very nice car. I'd have one along with the Camaro if my wallet would allow it.

Equal drivers, equal track, the SS beats the R/T. I don't even know why this is a discussion.
