You guys know I'm throwing an event at Beech Bend on April 30, 2011

You guys should come out. $100 to run all day on the strip 10-5.

Gonna mostly be Challengers but it's a good bunch of folks.

I would like to come out. The Challenger is one of my favorite cars, and I have wanted one since I was a kid. I think I am going to run up and down the main street in Nashville this weekend, maybe stop in to Hooters. Ray2SS, if you need help with your mods, I would be glad to stop in and help you out. It would be a lot more interesting than driving around aimlessly.

Paris Tennessee Dude

I guess that's why I love my Camaro so much. People still stop and simply stare at my car and point. That's the good part, the bad part is, there aren't enough Camaros to form a club or even cruise with in Tennesse. I saw a post from Clarksville (30 some miles)...and it seems like the same dilemma in that neck of the woods.

Try owning a Challenger. I think there are all of TWO in my area total. I hardly ever see one on the road.

Ray2SS - tell me about your car. Who did the tune, what shop, what kind of dyno, etc.

It's the same here as well in my area. Since May of 2010 I have maybe seen 10 or so Camaros. Not many though.. Gues we could have just an auto club and it does not matter what you drive...

Ted Jannetty did the tune and he sends me updated tunes for the parts I buy from him for free. I have to send him a datalog after the initial install and he makes any adjustments necessary and e-mails it back to me to install. I have to say his tunes are awesome. As far as the dyno goes. I had the dyno completed at C&C performance in Carthage TN on a Dynojet. At that time I was running lean @ 6100 RPMS and the vehicle was producing 639 RWH and 587RWT. I do expect the number to go up quite a bit after all the mods are installed and rear-end is replaced with 4:10 gears. I will probably have to look at strengthening up the bottom end before long though.

Yep, Janetty seems to know what he's doing.

How much boost out of the Edelbrock?

I'm familiar with the place in Carthage. Kind of a small place right with a relatively new machine?

I'm honestly surprised the stock block is handling over 600RWHP like that. On the Challenger side of things we start replacing the bottom end at anything over about 520RWHP. Several lost motors over there, but the tuning isn't as easy to come by like it is for Camaros and Mustangs.

Boost from the edelbrock stock 3.5" pulley is between 6 - 8 lbs. but I am going to a 3.2" gator grip pulley that will produce 8 - 9.5 lbs of boost... The shop is Carthage is a small shop and they actually installed my E-Force, blower cam, double valve springs and harden pushrods. I did headers, cat back exhaust, shifter, CAI, RX catch can and CNC TB. I will also be doing all the other parts that I have coming in as well as the rear-end swap. The bottom end on the cars are holding up at 750 and 800 rwhp so far, but I would not push it any further. The weak parts on the cars are the pistons and rods. As far as Tuning goes I thought Ted Jannetty could also tune the Challengers as well. He is really good at what he does and he did better remotely than the local tuner did here with the car.

Well we had a snow storm in TN today so it looks like the weather will delay my mods unless I find a place to rent inside somewhere...:(
