Loving the thread.

I was giving top marks to "America still builds rockets" until I remembered the assembly plant is in Canada.

"The Dream" gave me chillbumps too, maybe with a little Aerosmith, "Dream On" playing in the background.

My submission though is:

........................... ZL1 - Drive it or get out of the way.

They should take the America still builds rockets ad, and right behind the ZR1 power slide - comes a ZL1 ripping around the same corner.... "And so does Canada!"

Bingo, you hit the nail on the head.! Those lyrics are outta sight, " dream on until your dreams come true". That song is perfect IMHO in so many different ways for the "Live the Dream" idea. It also has connections to the GM story, their determination through failure and success. So many ideas....! FYI the LS7 and LS9 "Vette motors are handbuilt by the GM Performance Build Center in Wixom Michigan I believe, so the "rockets" powerplant is American built per se. Thanks for your input! Let the good times roll.

I say have a GT-500 sitting at the starting line of a drag strip waiting for some one to pull up and race. Then all of a sudden a ZL-1 pulls up right next to it and the scene from Tombstone comes on (IM YOUR HUCKLEBERRY)!

Those play on word commercials were witty for sure, very creative for their time and they delivered their message with blunt force. I see the potential in those.

Heres another one to toss around. Air base in remote desert location at twilight. Across bottom of screen flashes in type "Somewhere classified..present day" Screen shot of hanger with F-117 Night Hawk Stealth taxiing out side by side with all black ZL1. Images show Stealth Fighter and ZL-1 starting engines, rolling out, powering up down the runway, lights on against crystal clear dusk/twilight sky,. Narrator says words to the effect...some products were developed under the cloak of secrecy that gave them an unfair advantage( file footage shown of Stealth Fighter and ZL1 in production)...,...who said we had to be fair?....that's too bad for the competition. Jump to screen shot showing both the F-117 and ZL1 side by side roaring at and past the camera on the runway at full throttle. Camaro ZL1 -rule your domain.

I had a new idea for a commercial, one of those short spots.

Imagine a guy in a ZL1 driving along & checking out a super hot babe jogging toward him on the sidewalk. He smiles, she smiles, he drives past, SHE runs into the light pole while looking backwards checking out the car.

Announcer: "ZL1, yeah, it's like that."
