With either of the Hurst shifters you can use the factory knob. They make an adapter so it goes right back on.

You can always contact Hurst/B&M directly to see what other options they have.

You could always put on a longer upper stick onto the Hurst aftermarket shifter. The Hurst upper stick for the Challengers (p/n 538 7238) bolts right up to the aftermarket Hurst Camaro shifter (as do all Hurst upper sticks). It will make the shifter sit about 1-1/4" taller and in turn make the throw reduction result in a 28% throw reduction instead of the 44%. A Hurst T-handle will screw directly onto the top threads. Best of all, you can swap back to your OEM knob or the shorter 44% handle and white knob at any time just by unbolting the two bolts connecting the top stick.

There was a thread posted a while back that shows the results.

I REALLY like the new Hurst Option shifter that comes from the factory. I have checked with my dealer and was told they are not yet able to order them. If I can get a good price with install I'm doing it. I had originally ordered it with the car, but it never became available.
