The Eagle Eye headlight kit
HID wiring harness such as http://www.bfxenon.com/HID_kit_wirin...d-harness2.htm
2 HID bulbs (H11 or H9)
DRL capacitor from http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/D...-p6160696.html so I can run my Halos as DRLs without a worry about flickering.

Can someone please answer these two questions?

Thanks!

Thanks in advance for all your guys help, really looking forward to seeing my car with these installed.

Make sure you get the load resistors listed on the side with the turn signals.
When you get your HID kit, make sure the relay harness is for H13. That should be all you need.

I thought you recommended buying the full VME H9 HID kit?

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showpo...0&postcount=18

Adding to the confusion, this seller recommends an H11 HID kit with the Eagle Eye?

The H13 Relay harness is so that you can connect the HID to the factory harness which is H13. The H9 is just the size of the bulb you need for the eagle eyes.

Thanks for the clarification!

One last question, single beam or Bi-Xenon kit?

I see you used a Bi-Xenon harness/kit but is that needed since the Eagle Eyes have projector high/low beam fucntion?

And did you disable the DRLs by removing the fuse or did you manage to install the DRL capacitor? Thanks!

Your bulb will be a single beam which is high beam but the projector will make it function as a low/high beam. Bi-Xenon harness is fine. I didnt disable DRL's, I just disabled auto lights on by cutting the spring in the light control. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ht=disable+drl. I dont know exactly how to install the DRL capacitor.

I wanted to pass this info along to those of you who want to upgrade to HID with your Eagle Eyes.

I’ve been dealing with the guys over at www.TheRetrofitSource.com to do a retrofit for me. They are really top notch….the customer service has been some of the best I’ve dealt with. They answer the phone ever time and all my emails have been returned during business hours.

They sell high end HID parts. Mostly they sell parts to do true projector retrofits but they also can get some HID kits as well. I asked them about pricing on an H9 HID kit since the Eagle Eyes seem to becoming popular and that’s what they use.

TRS can get you an H9 kit but they’ll have to order it and it might take 7-10 days to come in. Here is the kit Nate came up with. You’ll have to call and talk with them to get any kind of details. I’m just passing along info I found so that you don’t have to buy some cheap stuff off eBay.

1) 1x Pair: Morimoto 3Five Digital Ballasts
2) 1x Pair: Morimoto H9 Bulbs
3) 1x Pair: H13 bi-xenon relay wire harness
Total: $150 shipped to the US.

You’ll pay a little more but Morimoto is not some cheap eBay stuff. Just look around on the TRS site and Google Morimoto + ballasts or projectors. Do a search in YouTube for Morimoto HID or something along those lines. You’ll see these are some quality parts.

A retrofit is much better. Eagle eyes are full of scatter and uneven lighting.

How do you even know, the only thing you ever do is go onto threads and talk about how bad everybody elses lights are except one company's. Are you getting paid by them?

Im a good friend with a guy with an RS 2011 Camaro SS and we park by each other every night. I can pretty much say the cut off is neck to neck. Trust me, I see this every night I go to work. Oh and did I mention I work at night time haha! Im pretty sure retrofit is really good too.

A retrofit is not a company. I had eagle eyes and they where horrible. They sent me a new set and the same thing. Light scatter and very blurry cutoff. A stock RS light isnt much better on the cutoff. They are better for scatter but not by much. I dont get paid by anybody. Just telling people that if they want something nice eagle eyes is just a cheap made low quality option. Alot of people that buy eagle eyes are impressed because they come from halogen HID to eagle eyes. Yea. They dont scatter as bad as stock lights with HID but they are still not good at all. Ever hear of a ass dyno?? Eagle eyes are the same thing with your eyes. If you have a decent set of lights and then go to eagle eyes you will see how bad they really are.
