Interesting, new MAF.

Well after reading about early cars posibble having funky MAF's off the Vararam site and talking to some folks here I ordered one from my dealer. Being #230 my MAF only had the one digit on it. New one has two.

So any way with my Cold Air Indrustries intake and CNC Throttle Body my car stopped surging after I put it on. I have to watch the gas milage as doing my normal run thru town and a couple of red light 0-speed limit my milage went up 2 miles per gallon over normal. Will watch it for a couple of days but I was beating on her after putting the new MAF in.

$65 at rockauto, if it is a quality one worth trying is the question. But I know my ls3 is extremely finicky with what gas and air filter I put in, always figure it was crappy gas in my area, but I might just give a new maf a try this summer.

Where do you find this piece? Is that the actual MAF that plugs into the airbox/CAI ?

Hey Scott... Could you tell a difference with the new maf? I've got the vmax and c.a.i intake, but at cruising speeds, when slighty accellerating, mine still surges slighty

Is there anything to this? Just wondered if I need to change out my maf since I've got one with a single digit.

It is smoother with the new MAF.
