Need Help w/ Cam Selection

Looking to purchase a Cam next week and thought I'd run it by the experts so I can make an educated proposal to my tuner.

- This is for a Naturally Aspirated setup.
- L99 w/ 3200 stall torque converter
- will be installing LS7 lifters and deleting DOD and VVT
- Scoggin Dickey CNC heads w/ Manley valves and 660 lift springs

Here's some of the cams I have at the top of my list to give you and idea of my considerations. Thanks in advance for the input...

Highlighted yellow is my selecton... ...and here's the finishedVIDEO

.

Is there any chance you'll ever add a blower?

Yes... but I'll swap cams if I do. Going NOS for now...

Probably the main reason I'm NOT going w/ a blower is a want a big cam...

I like your table. I am also shopping for cams. Did you pull this from a larger table or did you put this together yourself?

I would like to see the LS3 stock cam, GM hotcam, LS9, and most of the aftermarket cams in a single table. Anyone see a table like this floating around?

EDIT: answered my own question :http://www.gmhightechperformance.com.../photo_03.html

The last one in your list from MTI looks like the same specs as Vengeance's Stage III which is 231/243 .617/.624 115+3. The drive-ability and power band of the Vengeance's Stage II are impressive...I can only imagine the stage III.

Have you talked with Pat Guerra? He can recommend an off-the-shelf grind or spec out a custom grind for your setup and goals.

I started with the article you referenced... but these cams were not quite big enough... I don't mind some drivability issues... so started digging in to each one to see what the Stage II & III offerings were.

The MTI's are my leading candidates right now... I'll def add that Vengeance Stage III to my list. Who is Pat Guerra?

Just an FYI... the second cam on your list (Livernois cam) has the same specs as the stage 2B blower cam that IPS will be putting in my car next week.

From what I've seen 230/240 is about the max duration for blower cams and a 114 LSA is on the low end. Nice Selection...

The last camshaft listed is our Stage III LS3 camshaft. I believe you would be 100% satisfied with this cam. It produces EXCELLENT power/still retains extremely good street manners and would work very well with the combination of parts you have listed.

If you have any other questions do not hesitate to give us a call. Our camshafts are currently on sale for $369.99

I like the very last one from vengence the best.

decent split between the numbers.... and that wide(r) LSA is going to help with the nitrous and driveability, and the +3 is going to help getting the heavy car moving.
